What with the current 'interesting times', I thought it about time to 'fire-up the PC' and load up a few old games, X3 TC being one of them. I's about 5 years since I was last on here, all be it, briefly, and a whole 11 years since properly active!
So, whats changed, whats new, what have I missed in that time? Any good mods or scripts to be recommended?

The changes to vanilla X3TC in the last 5 - 11 years are probably best noted in the patch changelogs (last ones in 2017) here.

Done that now and getting on with an anonymous Argon start. All coming back to me now but where oh where are Merroc's Complex Calculator and Ashley's XXL fabs mods gone, they were soooo useful!

Well there's Xadrian which I used for vanilla station complexes, and your best bet for finding mods is here. I thought Ashley's mod was for X3:R?
