[X3TC] [LINUX] Blinding video flash artifacts caused by Terran SSC weapons on Intel GPU

Hello.

I am currently playing X3TC (current linux-native steam version),vanilla with official bonus pack DLC, no *modified* tag.

So far my playing experience has been almost flawless, but I have encountered one very serious problem which I can not solve and would like some help with.

Whenever any ship in sector is firing Starburst Shockwave Cannon (or a prototype) there is a chance that it will create a field (wall) spanning entire game screen. These sudden bright white flashes are going to slowly drive me nuts if I don't find a solution.

My video hardware is Intel HD 630 (the integrated video device of a i7-7700HQ CPU). I get 50-70 FPS most of the time, with some dips into 20-30 in particularly busy areas.

PS: I really enjoy this game and appreciate the availability of a Linux port, and if I can find a workaround to this issue, I am looking forward to playing X3AP and perhaps X4 too.

Providing a DxDiag (or better a link to an upload of it) as suggested here would let us check your graphics driver and codecs etc. If this is not feasible or relevant because of Linux reasons then you would have been better to have posted this in the Linux Support thread.
