Good one man! I'm fighting invincible bases too.
They probably knew it had all these problems, and said "we'll fix what we can depending on how much $$$ we make." I hate that business strategy for games.
I should have learned when i purchased rebirth to not buy a X product again. I probably will never buy one again after this.

Oh man, that indestructible partially-built stations bug is a real nasty one. What makes it particularly nasty is that it only becomes a gamebreaker in the late game when you already put in many hours of effort. How are you supposed to conquer a sector if you can't get rid of those frakkin' partially-built stations?? And then they constantly distract your patrols, traders, defenses, interrupts music tracks or sometimes don't even allow sector ownership to change... it's a mess and it's seriously starting to piss me off!

Pull your socks up Egosoft! You messed up so now you have to man up. If any of us outside of the lackluster game development industry messes up on the job this badly, we don't go on holiday, we put our heads down and fix our mess! I love your X games, all of them, let me enjoy them as they are supposed to be enjoyed. And no, paid DLC tosh won't fix it, that will have to wait.

I personally think X4 Foundations is the best game in the series so far BUT, there are still major bugs in the game, features that should work (Fleet control for example: ships staying in formation and not leaving who their supposed to be defending or escorting. Instead they head to the destination before without the ship their supposed to escort or they show up late for the party lol).

With that said, I know Egosofts staff is working on many parts of the game and I like how it’s improving. I quit playing during 1.5 or 1.6 and started a fresh game on Beta 2.5 B3. I’ve not had to experience some of the 2.0 thru 2.2 bugs or lacking features (2.5 B3 fixes and improves many issues in game) so I have been enjoying the game to a level I did not before.

On a side note, I miss the missile frigates from X3, firing off 40 silkworm missile from the argon m7m looked awesome!!!

I saw lots of reviews for this game together with all the comments about bugs being a real problem, i decided not to buy it on what i had seen of gameplay and due to bugs, pherhaps if another X game ever gets made it will better than this one.

bugs will be fixed, you can count on that
dont have to wait for new game, just a big number patch
Fixed ships getting spawned away from ship configuration menu at resupply ships from automatically getting deployables.

My personal biggest gripe is the AI going nuts when I can see them. When I finally got myself an L ship I wanted to use it as my home base and have the pilot drive me around. It took him 45 minutes to travel three sectors, constantly stopping for no reason and then not stopping when there IS a reason. I don't mind the AI being slower than me. But having them 20 times slower by just being dumb was a bit much. And the L colleagues outside of my vision are cruising along nicely....

I honestly feel the game would be better if they turn off collision detection. Let them fly right through solid objects. They often do anyhow or get stuck inside. My immersion can't be broken more than it already has. Dumb the AI down even more, but intentionally this time, scrap all evasive actions, delete that code. It's not working and ruining otherwise interesting game mechanics.

I do not like the owned property list jumping up and down for no good reason, you eventually find the ship then it moves out of sight as the list hops about, Why?
No property list collapsible segments, too much stuff in your face you don’t want.
It is hard to use.

The bright white flash of light when the map opens up, get rid of it.

No ability to select a ship in the landed ship list, I know the ship is on the station as it is shown in the landed ship list but I can not access that ship from the landed ship list, why not ! Trying to select a landed ship from the map is sometimes imposable as there are other ships overlapping it…..

- Missions are not very rewarding, good for unique upgrades and cosmetic items to ship, but making money? They pay too little when you are high in a Factions good books; needs improving.

- Wars in the game are still stale and non-existent after a certain amount of playtime, they throw Corvettes and fighters through the gate, (Don't know if that's an invasion or Escort traders that suicide in enemy territory?).
Factions at War don't seem to be accumulating destroyers, carriers etc. for an assault into enemy territory. The Xenon do it, you get 4x/5x K's pouring in at once maybe with an Xenon I to back them up.
Why is every other Faction so bad at Mass Invasions???

- Which gets me at my next gripe.. Assembling a Fleet for a Faction. They never use them!!
You make them, you send them to the mission location and you transfer them over, they just sit there, motionless not taking part in the war. Great if you want to make money, but if you are trying to help a Faction Expand it's territory? They are useless!

- Stations are next to impossible for a Faction to destroy!!
I've NEVER after 270 hours of accumulated playtime seen a Faction capture a Sector, not even the Xenon when a Bug made them spam stations and flood the sector with dozens of Xenon Destroyers. The Sector was still Holy Order controlled despite their fleets reduced to a capacity of a few Police Patrols, the Xenon didn't go for the kill.

- Indestructible Construction sites, if they're in the middle of building a structure, you can't destroy it until they have finished building it. The storage bays are indestructible too (Apart from what they are storing).

I hope these are all fixed, I want a living, breathing universe, not an AI with the tactical know how of Arnold J. Rimmer.

What i didn't like of the mining part is on L class like Magnetar mineral, you cannot manually mine with it because there is no way to call out the mining/cargo drones remotly to pick up the minerals

On missions on some stations, there are some missions that ask you a list of lots of goods to be delivered! it's ok if they request certain goods but it's too much on the list for the reward they give!

Considering that the station pay you for the delivered wares, THEN pay you for completing the mission, I'd say it's not that bad. :)

Never did that kind of missions, seems too convoluted, big list and numbers, then setting it all up with click fests
Am I missing something here maybe?

The missions are altogether very poor and uninterested, do you lose rep on those kill missions so maybe at least can try that one
