[X3AP] Some AI ships docking at stations... what for?

I've been watching for a while activity at an impulse emitter factory, some cargo ships were selling resourses, others buying product, but other non-cargo ships looked like they docked there, did nothing and then leave. I thought they might have had business with merchants but I didn't notice it. Just saving game?

Leave after AI taxi missions maybe? Globally there lots of AI mission are running making the mass traffic you see in AP which are not really fake

There are many types of purely cosmetic (immersion fluff) TS/TP ships that just travel around docking at stations and then leaving (or even not leaving which is more of a pain). Some examples are passenger shuttles, passenger liners, tour ships, prisoner transports, commuter transports, station staff shuttles, etc, etc. Some seem to make a bee-line for Player-owned Equipment Docks and Trading Stations and then block up docking arms unless you give them somewhere equally attractive and available to go to.

Oh yes that actually makes sense, not only goods tranports travelling out there, as it should be!

especially those personnel transport missions. if u went on buying spree of marines, start seeing bunch of tps doing taxi to the base. only boarding pods get magically spawned
