OK, this is ridiculous. Liz Fraser, who appeared in several Carry On films before getting fired because she fell out with the producers, also died yesterday:

Not a single mention on the BBC news site that I can see. OK, she's not on the same level of fame as Burt Reynolds but I think she deserves at least a mention!

Reading that obituary, it's amazing how she got so typecast for a single role. In a way, she'd have been better off taking that lead role in Carry on Cleopatra, because from what I recall, the character in there was a ditz who didn't really understand her own sexual attractiveness, which is about as far from Valeria as you could get...still, path not travelled and all that. RIP, Fenella.
