Apparently many users report that the game Subnautica crashes on loading with 18.5.1 giving an atidxx64.dll faulting module error message but the 18.4.1 version driver works fine after rolling back to it.

Subnautica had a big unannounced update today as well, so maybe any 18.5.1 issue is resolved there. (In fact not; the update was unrelated and the AMD driver 18.5.1 issue is not fixed.)

EDIT: The Subnautica devs say this is indeed a bug with the AMD 18.5.1 driver that is affecting games based on UNITY and that they hope AMD will fix it soon. Meanwhile they recommend staying on 18.4.1.

18.5.2 Optional still hasn't fixed the Subnautica/Unity issue. The Subnautica devs still recommend staying with 18.4.1 for now if appropriate.

each system has it's quirks..
my guess is that some of these can be dealt with via a default fall-back,
but some will require adjustment according to local/personal requirements..

I've got 18.8.1 installed and running ok with Win10 version 17730 - installation went smoothly..
I still had to do the Sapphire Trixx overclock and set ULPS manually, as usual..

- crossfire runs fine..
- the whole universe is running in BETA mode - we're working on it.. beep..!! :D

Just to let you know I have severe problems with the 18.8.2 and rolled back to 18.8.1.

Had to switch on vsync to avoid distortions (which reduced my fps), had screenshots taken with print screen in fullscreen that had the lower 3rd in black or color bias and when in fullscreen moving the mouse to the bottom got the taskbar.

Now back to 18.8.1 and all is fine.
