Thank you for the Ten Years After links, guys. New to me.
No swearing in this FVDP song.
Queensryche here with Someone Else.
A complete change of pace now from BBC Radio 4 and just before the Shipping Forecast.

A somewhat rare recording using the shows out-tro.
Much Binding in the Marsh

Nice!!! Really good covers, I like them.
Also great.
While we are talking about older music, there is a swedish song called Herr Manneling. From all I could find it was written in the 19th century, but was written to sound like a song from the middle ages. There are multiple versions of it on Youtube, the two I liked the most were by:
Garmarna
and
In Extremo (who are not swedish, thus the different pronunciation)
You can read the lyrics here.
"The problem with gender is that it prescribes how we should be rather than recognizing how we are. Imagine how much happier we would be, how much freer to be our true individual selves, if we didn't have the weight of gender expectations." - Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

We were linking metal covers of non-metal tunes, but I'd argue that Vivaldi was metal before metal was a thing
And just for a twist, how about metal played on classical instruments, in this case four cellos Apocalyptica - Battery .
I have a soft spot for Finnish Black Metal and when searching for new tunes, stumbled across this.
It's not black metal but it's got that Doom/Stoner/Sludge Bass with sweet Female Vocals.
I like it SAPATA - Cyrene
and because that put me in the mood for a bit more doom here's Pallbearer - The Ghost I Used to Be

@ OmegaKnight I do beleive you have a good argument that Vivaldi was metal before metal was cool .OmegaKnight wrote:@Tracker001

What do you get if you combine electric guitars, fast rap and video games? I think you get a great song.

A very different sentiment, just be careful what you wish for.
