No it's not. That page is just people saying "it works for me". That doesn't help when problems under the hood can take a week to show up.
And the plugin manager is super not compatible.

Aw :( bummer. Thanks for the response though! I don't wanna screw my game so I will avoid. I just wanted it for the 'marines repair damaged ships' thing, but I fixed it with an elastic band over my joystick button so I can go AFK xD

Hello, me again.
Is there a way to play LU with the new 3.3 version? Or. is the mod still evolving? I have a lot of ReadText errors in the game and can not use the mod at all because the game always freezes on the navigation map. Unfortunately I only have the Steam version and it downloads the latest version. I ask for help.

It's not a problem related to 3.3. LU is compatible with 3.3.

You need an English version of X3 without the Bonus package.

New X3 player here :)

I saw a let’s play with the litcube mod and was interested in trying it out.

Just a few quick questions.

Is the mod finalized and stable? I ask because a new patch was recently released and, to my knowledge, the last update to this mod was over a year ago. Are there any plans to update the mod?

Also, the mayhem submod has been continuously updated. So I was wondering if the changes to that mod stopped being incorporated into Litcube due to changes in direction between both modders. I noticed mayhem disables some features in litcube.

I appreciate the answers.

I just got into this mod myself and have been playing it for about a week. Stability not much of a concern tbh and there are no "holes" in content so to speak.

@canshow, Are you positive your installation is correct? (WikiLink)

Having the game crash in that location is highly out of the ordinary, We have never seen a crash with that sort of stack loaction, and thats a script that gets used by literally every ship in the game.

If everything is in order, then just wait and see if you get any further crashes, if they start occurring in diffrent locations, i'd actually start to look into testing your RAM, and looking for other external factors. If they continue to occur in the same location, there may be a corruption or a glitch with the mission ships being spawned.

[LU] Dockware Manager Question

The following part of the wiki page is really confusing me -

When a ware is set to overstock, Freighters will continue to stock the ware despite the capacity settings. Additionally, Dock Agents will not sell wares set to overstock.

This doesn't make sense in my head - I want them to bring in overstock, so that anything above the capacity in my HQ is sold. But according to the above, that won't happen?? So I either have overstock set to no and the stock piles up in the source (not what I want, I want everything stored centrally) or I have it set to yes and stock piles up in my HQ but is never sold....

What is the answer?? I just want to centralise everything as much as possible.

I remember my DAs selling the overstocked wares, did you try it yourself?

But maybe I'm wrong and I had changed the script. Anyway, you could also set the capacity setting to a very high value.

Hey thanks for the reply. It seems it is working, they sell the overstock wares - just the wording of the description in the wiki is really not correct :P unless I'm just a dumb dumb. It's all good tho :)

Clean install and all, extracted everything into the game directory in the proper order and none of those issues really present. This happened in a patrol in terran space, after a second group of a xenon caps and her escorts jumped a minute or two after the first group ***before*** they were cleared. Before the game crashed there was a bit of sporadic lagging that was going on for a couple of seconds - I've experienced it before maybe one or two times in similar situations where there were groups of enemy fighters but it fixed itself very quickly.

On that note, I have also noticed a few other irregularities. 1) When jettisoning the SETA device, it's always been 15km or farther from me , at least in a sirokos and near meters from a dock. 2) Washi ship graphics become transparent when you're like with-in 1km of it, 3) Collision can happen when entering your ship (from spacewalking) that is next to (<100m) another ship



Unrelated and for others players -if you guys want an easy way to nerf phanon corp

just go into their sector and lure out their fighters with an m6 or an m7, away from their m1. they prioritize on replacing their losses, so you can effectively bottleneck their growth by killing like 30 of their fighters every couple of in-game days or so.

Fighters launched from carriers

Hey all

I was curious if there is a way for my carrier to launch, say, 12 of my M3's first and then the other 12 only when 50% of the original ones are dead? Does assigning wing colours help at all, or does MLCC ignore wings?

I have a Griffon with 24 Aamon's and would rather they didn't all launch in one go as it's a bit much! I know you can change the number of fighters in the MLCC config section, but I imagine this number is how many will be stored on the carrier, rather than how many are deployed?

Canshow, you made a mistake installing for sure. I have played dozens of hours, done a ton of patrol missions both in terran space and with all the other races, and never encountered any problem. I never had a crash, and haven't encountered the irregularities you mention.

Try again, you did something wrong.

Try again, you did something wrong.
Installed X3 from steam, moved directly to hdd directory, and then followed 'setup guideline A' to the letter. Don't see how doing any of that could have messed up my installation.

Easy Phanon

During my play I accidentally found the easiest way to stop development of the Phanon Corporation. Becomes even easier with the Satellites Monitoring mod.
When I set up my satellite network in each sector of the map I could monitor the movement of Phanon Universal Traders. I then jumped and hunted them all down until none were flying around. Many of the freighters don't have front mounted turrets and none use Chaff missiles, so a torpedo to the head from several kilometers away always hits, ramming them in an M6 also makes a 3 second fight. Money inflow without universal traders is significantly lower for Phanon. Then I took a swift fighter loaded with 2 Remote Guided Warheads and several smaller missiles just in case, jumped into the Sanctuary of Darkness and killed the Phanon TL ship. Now Phanon is stuck trying to gather 40 millions for a TL without universal traders. Phanon Colossus is helpless once it has no fighters, easy to dispose of by getting him to jump right into a Ring of Fire to protect a Phanon factory from you. Phanon bomber also succumbs to a swift M6. Once I started hitting the headquarters the Phanon deleted all of its stations and congratulated me with a message.
I played with Phanon Plus installed, but this tactic works every time. Kind of a bummer that it was too easy.

Taking out the first generations of Phanon should be easy, by design. And performing effective guerilla tactics will likely give you an advantage against any foe. So to be honest I'm not sure what you're complaining about, to me it sounds like "if I perform smart tactics against starting level Phanon, I manage to beat them easily, what a bummer".

Note that Phanon will also be defeated (and upgraded to the next level) if they simply go down (economically and military) too much, no need to attack their HQ. That's also by design (so that you don't take advantage of them taking ages to recover after critical blows).

Well, X3 is past its prime and I don't think we'll see more LU or Phanon Plus updates while everyone is waiting for X4. There are ways to improve and protect Phanon freighters. But the freighters and their TL are the heart and blood of the Phanon economy, taking them out of the picture destroys the corporation.

Started playing X3 out of the nostalgia I developed for the game after 10 years. Decided to try out X3LU to add meaning and challenge to the game. Gotta beat the OCV now and then try out X3LU + Mayhem.


P.S. Phanon should use freighters with turrets both in front and the back to shoot down incoming missiles or at least use Chaff to protect itself, also use the emergency jump drive. The TL should not be lurking in their home sector but be docked to the HQ so that it can't be sabotaged by a missile armed fighter. But yeah, I'm years late with my suggestions.

Did you actually fight them at higher levels yet? Because their TS are only the heart at the start. After a few levels, tipping over their trade network won't put a dent in their passive income.
