Last night I couldn't sleep so I made up some fake achievements

As a man child who likes to mess around I always have thing for those secret-y achievements. Last night I couldn't sleep so I decided to brainstorm a bunch of achievements that may or may not be fun to you. A lot of those are pop references.

Hi,

Don't you know that X3AP has a "X-treme tour of a life time" which leads through ALL Xenon sectors?

It's not really dangerous, if you use a fast TP with turbo installed.

OTOH the mission is flawed, since it gives a negative reward.

For the "moonwalk" on number 28, to be really cool use an M5 and not only hit the gate from the back side, but do it while sliding backwards after a high speed 180 degree turn.

I actually practice that.

5. I can't! I don't know which of my Mercuries it is anymore.
8. Done it. Repairing an M7M with a coffee cup on the boresight fire key while watching a movie with my fiance.
9. Done it.
16. Oh yeah. About to do it again.
23. Bonus: rig a controller or joystick so you can roll and yaw at the same time.
27. HAHAHAHAHA! Maybe I'll do it once.
28. Or because that was the side I was facing because I was using it as cover from Xenon.

I did try to pick up an astronaut without realizing my hold was full. That could be a good one.

I do like the "speedboat" feel of the Kestrel. I like to approach at an angle and then whip around so I'm going through sideways.

I did that with a marine after successful boarding. The personnel tab of properties has shown "Marines in space" as 1, yet an empty list, ever since.

28. That is what I always do. Every time.

You've hit the heart of why I don't fly Kestrals very much. That "speedboat effect" is limited by their poor maneuverability. The Kestral slides sideways nice enough, but I can spin my Disco all the way around on its axis and slide into the gate backwards. I'm working on killing the throttle as I spin so I can do that high-speed-180-shoot-at-the-pursuit-while-going-backwards maneuver you see in action movie car chases.

Aye, Kestrels are much better in a straight line. On that note, now that I've finished exploring the last few sectors I needed to I have less use for it other than going fast without Turbo (e.g. the one-person, urgent transport missions that don't require a TP).

I'm going to do some comparisons later between the likes of Kestrel, Jaguar Raider, etc. to see how much acceleration plays into maneuverability.

Regarding the high-speed-180-shoot-at-the-pursuit-while-going-backwards maneuver, are you looking forward to the Flight Assist toggle they talked about for X4:Foundations? Turning it off means flight physics more like Newtonian (get up to speed, turn it off, turn 180 and fire backwards at speed).

What is puzzling me since: I did not die during this 'operation'. I had stuck the "repair"-key with a wooden letter-opener and let the PC work all night long. I have no clue why 'me' had enough oxygen.

Hmm... yup, done all of those. Commed an entire Xenon Fleet once because I was really, really bored.

Do you have any mods installed that might remove the oxygen limit? I'd eject from ship and wait a while, then check to see if oxygen level even goes down.

Also, I'm surprised you didn't use the SETA repair trick.

No, that was an "All-Vanilla-Game", even without Bonus Pack.
And the SEAT-trick would not work in my games as I get constantly messages from my free ships (doing single trading jobs or being attacked somwhere in the Universe)). That breaks SETA.
