Hi Techies

I have decided to restart a new campaign to see how the 4.10 patch has enhanced the game well it's done a few things that has destroyed the play.

Firsty: When entering DF system at the point where you have to escort the freighter the station in that zone is missing.

Secondly: When in OL system where you fight of the xenon invasion you get asked to dock at a station for upgrades but all i get is "Talk to" the rest of text is missing and no prompt or where to go any way i just carry on.

Thirdly: In Mailstrom system where you are prompted to fine the Split station that too is missing and at a point where a split prompts you to dock at the missing station all i get is "talk to" rest of text missing and no prompt guide or where to go.

I Have tried the Campaign with no mods and same issues mentioned are still there and with or without mods there is no continuing with the campaign gameplay if a main plot stations and prompt text/guident is missing.

If i play a none Campaign game and any of the other game starts all stations are there and no issues with text.

Before 4.10 patch and mods i used everything was ok but after this patch and using the same mods these issues have now appeared and it will be difficult to proceed in the campaign.

I'm pretty sure none of the things you mention were changed in 4.10, so I suspect it's the mods you are using that are causing the problems you're having (in the case where you say you've tried without, at a guess there was still something left over from one of them). We can't help much with the mod-related issues; it's up to the mods' authors to update them if they don't work properly with a new release of the game.

Hi CBJ

I had thought of that that's why i tried the game without mods and i did a full uninstall and full wipe of any trace of mod residue and started a new game at the points where these issues show i still get them.

Here's a picture link https://www.dropbox.com/s/1tnyj7pmot8j27u/Dock%20Prompt.jpg?dl=0 this shows what i get in the dialogue prompt box and as you look out there should be the split station that's not showing.

Here's a picture link https://www.dropbox.com/s/zbj6a2j0m7qy8v1/Mission%20menu.jpg?dl=0 showing what i get in the mission menu just the talk to message and nothing else.

hope this helps

P.S. Alsp Capital ship builders do not have ship builds in their inventory but will restock existing ships.

I am amazed that you can start a new game and then get to points well into the campaign so quickly. Are you sure you aren't loading modded gameplay saves just to get there, or perhaps using some other sort of shortcut method?

A member of the community, with 4.1 released, same as you tried the campaign, he managed to complete it with no major issues. This is his feedback on the Steam forums:

Hi Alan Phipps

Good point as i play as much as 12 hours a day "Yes i should get a life after all i have nothing else to do" i do break it up in hourly chunks and some times it can take a couple of hours to get to the OL start and as i've clocked up 3900+hours on this game since release minus issues it's very simple to complete the whole campaign in a day and mostly i'm restarting do to game cleaning ie reinstalls and trying new mods.

Hi Santi

I have finished the campaign many times with little or no issues that i couldn't get past and that was every other patch as one would correct issues and the next would add more new ones so yes some players do not have issues or never notice them.

Ho how disappointed the ending is to blowup a couple of stations that's if you can survive only to be asked to rejoin back at Albon on rewards, no promotion, and no new missions in new patches yes the game has had it's badness and negativity about the game over the years i managed to get through most of that and play on but if i have an issues it's genuine and i've tried all i can to correct it seem like i'll have to wait till 5.0 patch to get past this issues.

At present this is the only longevity sandbox game that's not totally screwed up like The Division or hacked/cheated to death by A hole gamers that can't play with out screwing the games up for others and have a very good following of nodders.

Jess 246, it will be cool if the campaign will get expanded with new patches, but so far it is more about bug fixing and adding new features, of course I assume you already know about all the DLC's stuff added to the game.

As you said, updates will fix some things, and break some others, but the result overall will be a better game.

Can we keep on the topic of Tech Support and the issues posted in the thread when in this forum please.

Since Santi has provided some evidence that the vanilla 4.10 campaign is not generally having the show-stopper issues described, I tend to agree with CBJ that JESS's game is probably still somehow suffering from the effects of previous mods or edits, especially as the recent update most likely did not affect the relevant areas of concern.

JESS can always provide links to vanilla 4.10 saves that demonstrate the issues and that the devs could perhaps check out.

Hi Alan Phipps and all

I have resolved this issue by a total hard drive wipe and clean reinstall of the unmodded game even after that on a couple new starts in campaign mode still had minor issues that were there in one and different in the others i.e. could not trade as icons would only register `Attack` instead of sale/buy items this was fix after upgrading the scanner from basic to police and another start parts of stations were invisible or boosting is jerky or laggy and i had save issues as well though station missing parts are intermittent are lessing after graphic card driver updates.

It seems that all issues are in the campaign play only and in the other game starts it only the boosting that's an issue i'm still working on that.

Good to hear. The OP issue was not really resulting from the game or update, at least in this case. Enjoy the game.
