Don't know if this one is posted already but could you fix the missions where we are requested to deliver a ship. They offer the "ships worth + bonus" but most of the time I don't even get the ships worth in return.

It's becoming a mission I stop bothering taking because I always take a loss.

The ships worth is its sale price, the amount you would get if you sold it at a shipyard

If you used a ship that you capped, then you would make more money from it. It's not supposed to be for buying a new ship to use, otherwise the mission would be too easy

Provided that I, as a trader, already captured the required ship;
Provided that if I didn't, I will have the favour of the RNG when trying to capture the required ship;
Provided that I do not loose any expensive marines trying to capture the required TP;
etc...

And I am not selling him/her a ship. (S)He wants me to get that ship for him.

Alas, not really interesting to do this mission anymore.

Although I occasionally (quite often, in fact) found instances of this mission that were quite profitable, sometimes even extremely so [profits in the 100s of %s] (I'm guessing it's affected by faction standing, and/or trade rank, and/or previous history of completing such missions), I generally view them more as a way to garner goodwill - they are decent reputation-boosters, and easy to carry out completely remotely. I most often used this to boost Terran race relations in the early game (once I had parked a Rapier at every Terran shipyard, of course.)

Likewise: unless a seriously profitable opportunity falls into my lap I'll simply take the cash hit & use it as a rep boost - the rep boost will pay off far better in the long term anyway

Never played AP; all X3 advice is based on vanilla+bonus pack TC or before: AP has not changed much WRT general advice.

Precisely.
I actually like the notion of more nuanced and diverse (and specialised) generic missions - some are profitable cash-wise, some build relations, some offer combat opportunities (renown, loot, ship capturing) and others offer, let's say, opportunities to increase one's knowledge of the geography or markets or some other aspect. I prefer missions not to be optimal on all fronts, makes them too... generic :P Ie. I prefer missions to not be "I win" buttons.

Please, fix the Colossus Hauler: its first person view is broken (the camera is inside the ship) and the distance meter shows false data if the player is inside the ship.

The "Hauler" variant addendum suggests that this ship is not supposed to be used within the game. So where did you get one?

It spawns in war sectors.

That's the actual problem then.

It's IN beta patch, and you can download it already.
So in short: As soon as the beta patch is done.

You just need to adjust your perception of 'something' to reality.

Well, nice job with the patch. You screwed all my custom ship changes. But hey, I got a controller support. Yeah, that was really something this old game needed... I think I am done with Egosoft for good.

I wish could have a gaming software outfit & promise my very loyal customers updates that just about havent been delivered or nullifies the players' settings. I can only wonder how I'd keep my loyal fanbase with actions such as these. I'll be watching for the X-4 title to see if there is some redemption because there were so many ways to take TC & AP & make it even more player friendly after all the plots were completed.

So in short, don't bother asking if you are going to take whatever answer is given and twist it into something that was not in any way implied. Seriously, people wonder why they don't get much personal interaction from developers. This kind of behaviour is why.

Are you seriously surprised that updates mess with your mods?
Welcome to the real world. This has been announced a VERY long time in advance. You could have prepared super easy.

You could always go back to the Caldari border zone in EVE. Oh wait, you can't even do custom ships there. :P

Seriously? Expecting Egosoft to know exactly what changes you've made and cater to your specific changes? Unbelievable! :roll:
