Disc 5 is lost, any work-around?

Post by SteelSharkAG » Wed, 9. Nov 16, 01:09

So I was digging around through my old PC games, and sure enough, I found this lovely little gem (X3: Reunion). Excited, I brought the case/disks to my PC, started the installation, put on some Netflix, but after disk 4 it asked for the 5th disk. I looked through, and, sure enough, it wasn't there. I have the registration code with me if needed, can I use that to get a virtual copy of the game, or do I have to repurchase? (We moved a while ago, it may have been left behind.)

EDIT: The Version is 1.3.

It really depends on what kind of data was on the fifth disc. If it was just patch files, then applying the full patch from 1.0 -> 2.5 might be enough already to complete the installation.
