Opening menu kills speed

Hi

I have been through the settings but cannot find an answer to this. I am using a Mad Catz F.L.Y 5 joystick on Windows. Whenever I open the menu or navigation maps, I loose my speed and the Skunk stops. This is very annoying when I want to check things while travelling between points.

This happens when I use either my mouse or the keyboard to access the menus, but only seems to kick in when a menu pops up to a window. That is, I can scroll through the menus but when I open a menu item the ship stops.

Could anyone suggest where I might look or what I might be doing wrong.

Version 2.50 Changelog included:

• Added option to choose between stopping and maintaining speed while in menus.

Have you checked in Game Options? (Settings/Game Settings/Maintain Speed in Menus)
