This modification will allow you to distinguish the color of asteroids. Each asteroid has its own color. The events also included the possibility of removal of the asteroid debris - hereinafter Stardust.

Install and run:
Unpack the archive with the mod and copy the addon folder in the root folder of your game. After starting choose ColourAsteroids modes.
Start a new game mode does not require, but in this case built by the mine will not be updated, and will be updated only newly built.
At the beginning of the new game option Stardust disabled and for the extraction of the ore it is necessary to include in the AI settings.

I assume this is done by changing the textures?

If so, have you figured out how to color the debirs resulting after blowing up the asteroids as well? That's what I got stuck on and couldn't figure out back when I tried to do the same while working on XTC.

Yes, I once also broke his head thinking how to get to the debris after the destruction of asteroids. But I have not found a solution.

Edit 2: The XCT File repeats the numbers 59-67. Each of The above numbers actually references to an effect in the effects.txt file. Just copy and pasted the effects from 59-67 and give each new effect it's own ID number, and then add those back into the TAstriods file.

Yes, patterns and textures of the mod asteroids used X-Tended -Terran Conflict. Only in XTC has not been completed yet to end.

I was not able to achieve the destruction of an asteroid appeared fragments of the desired color.
They constantly disappears.
Most likely it is inherent in the functions x3story.obj and X3TC.exe.
So the destruction of asteroids and debris had to the establishment of a standard color of debris.

Have you tried TDebris, also forgot to mention that part? You will also need the corresponding asteroid body and scene files under the asteroids/reduced folder.

So far I have actually been able to make all the asteroids stick around and stay the same color up until the collectable level, except for ice, not sure what I am doing wrong.

Edit: I actually just realized what I was doing wrong. Wasn't upadating the ending line number at the top of T-Debris to include the ice debris entries, which was resulting in the same behavior you where having. Here is my fixed TDebris file.

Adding new positions in Debris.txt desired effect does not work. The game does not define a new position.

Because you need to create new corresponding files in asteroids/reduced and hook them into TDebris. That will do it. The behavior you're a describing is the exact behavior I got when my TDebris file wasn't done correctly for ice roids and their TDebris entries were being ignored because they were out of bounds.

I have the behavior now in my game except for the final step working correctly. Which results in a normally looking collectible roid instead of the correct color.

Here are all the files I use but the dds textures for reference to what I am talking about.

There may be some additional entries in my Effects.txt.

Edit: Give me a bit and I can post a video if you want of an Ice Roid breaking down correctly, until the collectable level.

LU does not use TDebris.

The formations of debris when breaking apart asteroids are custom made by myself.

See the text files for xyz coordinates.

Rover, this mod is for LU. You seem to have GUI elements of LU, but you are not running LU.

Asteroid breaking behaves differently.

I get that, but he was saying it was impossible because it was hardcoded. Which is why I was pointing out it is not, and is even possible with a non-modified X3_AP.exe. Which means even in your U it should be modifiable. Besides, before you said it was different, I had already made the video and said I was going to make it. Not posting it would be chicken sh*t :lol:

My modifications are closer to XTC than they are to Litecube, and I don't use any of his modifications to the exe. So they should defiantly work in XTC.

Also, note at the top of TDebris it should really be 47:105; not 47:104;. I was still off on my counting last night... :oops:
