[MOD] Rare Engine part drops scan as best result

This mod makes dropped rare engine parts ping as the best type of item in debris fields.

Most of the time, I'm really only interested in picking up these items after a battle, so I generally can't be bothered selling all the other items. I wrote this mod in order to make identifying and collecting the rare engine parts drops easier.

As a result of the changes I've made, there is now the possibility of two high value drops, as the usual rare wares items and the rare engine parts items are now separate drop chances. I have reduced the chance of a rare engine part drop to 10% for all shiptypes that drop engine parts. The chance of any other rare ware drops remain unchanged.

To uninstall just unsubscribe from the mod in the Workshop.

As is best when using any mods, take care with your save game files. I have been playing with this running for a few days, and haven't experienced any trouble.

Compatible with game version V4.0. Will be incompatible with any mod that changes the rare engine wares within the ware droplists for small_military, small_pirate or small_xenon shiptypes.

Made some modifications for V4 compatibility, that should also enhance compatibility with other mods that change the same droplists, and help reduce the chance that future Egosoft updates will cause issues.
