Because that kind of AA only fixes one specific kind of aliasing, but not others. As you'll note the pointy antennas are quite smooth against the background. That's your 8x AA at work.

I too found myself in empty space when jumping from Maelstrom to Toride. Though reloading fixed the problem

Same thing happened to me going through the Albion gate. I was watching the encyclopedia cutscene and ended up going from Cold Star to Home of Light because my ship was still moving. Then when the cutscene ended I was several hundred km away from everything in the middle of empty space. Luckily, I had the jumpdrive for my ship so I just jumped back to the Cold Star gate.

I hope someone makes a map for X Rebirth with the HoL sectors included. :)

Whilst not as sexy as the seizewell map, you can find a couple of maps that illustrate the overall structure of Rebirth in 4.0 plus the DLCs on the wiki.

Are there any plans to release a non-steam executable for people who registered their game here?

Guys I think I've found a bug... I am purchasing Nyanae for 943,000 or something, and selling it back right away to the vendor for over 1M...

Make no sense,basically they are giving me free money for clicks :lol:

EDIT: Bought some S size ships to have as wingman since playing Very Hard but when I enter the highway they just shut down the engine and wait for me to exit the highway before they decide to enter it themselves and follow. This obviously resoult in me beign torn apart by enemy cause alone or me sitting there waiting 1 minute for my ships to reunite with me again (and btw this S class are faster than me,no booster used,so no excuses). So any kind of attempt at flying with a wing of ships is frustrating and unnecessarily slow/difficult.
And btw,we are talking of a bug you can already read topics about since 2014.
Jesus, 2016 and this game is STILL THIS BAD. That's it, I give up on Egosoft products. You guys have fun,if you can...

Escorting does generally work on the basis of the Commander ship broadcasting their location upon arrival at new maps arrived at by boosting or jumping. Whilst that offers the ability to stagger the arrival of combat fleet components (by putting ships in particular squad layers), it also has downsides that can be frustrating.

In this case, you don't need to wait for Yisha to have to work out where you're going after you arrive, you can tell everyone in advance: By ordering your Squad to your destination and then travelling with them.

Sparky you do understand that if my plan was to play the wole game escorted by 4 Foltor Sentinel, what you suggest would make everything extremely tedious. Just doing 1 patrol mission would be extremely tedious because that usually imply jumping around 5 more or less different areas,thus 5 orders to issue just for that,not to mention the engage orders.
I know I could do what you suggested, but my goal is not to play X:Rebirth at all costs for the sake of it, my goal is to have fun while playing. And the workaround you suggested is tedious,the oposite of fun, maybe could be used as an argument to say that what I described wasn't a bug to begin with, but still is an horrible game design choice which is as bad as a bug and in my opinion should be treathed as such and hammered out. 2 years ago.

We have plans for releasing a no steam exe for Steam users, who have registered the game in our forum here.

Damn ! You spend all the time for linux and macos, but still that sticky ship only, don't u ever play in Normady in Mass Effect 3, or dont u see what people wants as in StarCitizen. The Bigger spaceships needed.

Now Year is 2016 and still graphics are far from X3 series, plus nowadays graphics are much more real as in StarCitizen. And yours are sooo cartonish.

Xrebirth is totally rubbish, graphics, mechanism, AI, menus, all is rubbish.

Try to do a game like flappybird or something like that. Now you are far far away from space games.

You lost us when you lost your vision about the game with Xr. Yeah your vision is more money, not doing a good game.

This game will never take my money !

followup - works OK on a significantly slower machine, so i guess the problem is on the other machine. i'll look into amd drivers, that's the usual suspect i guess.

They already said in the very beginning that it was a deliberate decision that in X:R you can only pilot one ship, just like in the first game, X-BTF. Piloting other ships will be a feature of the next game.

I will not debate whether X:R has a cartoonish graphics style or not, but regardless of that : What's wrong with a slightly cartoonish graphics style?
Not every game has to look the same, not every game has to look "omg super realistic". If realistic graphics and the amount of photorealism were the measurement for a good game then Super Mario games must be absolutely terrible games. :roll:

There certainly is room for a lot of improvements in many aspects of the game, but i would not call it rubbish.

And before you praise Star Citizen so much and compare it to X:Rebirth maybe you should wait until Star Citizen is actually released. Just because it looks like a good game now it does not mean that it will be great on release. We all know how games can look incredible in previews and trailers but then on release turn out to be unfinished and buggy release versions. :roll:
Yeah your vision is more money, not doing a good game.
If their objective is making money, please explain the two years of free updates they put in so far into this game. Companies who only want money would not waste time improving the game with tons of free updates.

Do you have a source that piloting only one ship is a nod to X-BtF? My impression is that they simple didn't have the time/resources to add several flyable ship on top of everything else they did. This post backs me up.

I didn't mean that they said that it was because of X-BTF that they made the decision with only one flyable ship. I only said that they said very early on that there will be only one flyable ship.
The comparison with X-BTF was just a thing i added to compare X:R to X-BTF as the first title of the new X series, i did not intend to make it sound like Egosoft said it.
I guess it depends on how you interpret the sentence i wrote. :D
