Hi,

i had created some ship variants over the time and finally i found some time to create a package to release this Ship Pack.
Maybe someone will like it.

First one is a bit meh. Arawn with def-platforms bolted on to it...

Why not add the massive guns on the carrier itself? Now that would be awasum.

The mega X-wing looks quite hilarious. I can smell a lot of collision issues...

The last one is? Pimped out titurel?

yes the round plattforms not my first joice, but i had no alternativ part that suits better into the Arawn design
and the 8 Turrets will need too much space on the vanilla modell that you can place it

what collision ? this thing is not so huge (its around the fulmekron basemodel) and all parts from the game with navmesh

the last thing is a Stromvok at Styrvok XL layout
the Titurel is not a modular asset, so you can't make a stretched model

add 6 Ships (+ 1 small Unicargo, but this isn't in a production yet) and make some bugfixes

How do you go about making ships? I'm curios to maybe start as well but I'm unsure where to begin :)

To make a new ship (in case it will be only a copy) you need a couple of files and additional entries to some files to make the ship working

real creation from zero i think nobody had done this for a mod up yet, all ships basicly are build with existing parts

first you should see what parts available and how you could combine them, in my opinion it is more easy to use a model that suits your needs and only extend them with whatever you want
the tricky parts like masstraffic it is better to not change
then you could try to use parts that have fix positions for weapons, engines and other things instead of need to positioning every single part on your ship by hand

and then it starting hours of fun with a lot of trial&error to find a working position for each part

thanks, but i can't reproduce that (also not if i use langID 7)

the language files contain all ids, seems like the language files are damaged or missing

why the patch //components/component/connections at units_size_xl_capital_destroyer_2 not working is strange

maybe it works to replace first line of the mod-file with

this all based on the first error, the requried connentions will not added to the original original taranis body

but why //components/component/connections?

you could try //connections at sell

but i can only imagine that it is any encoding conflict, so the idea to change first line

EDIT:
had changed the file units_size_xl_capital_destroyer_2.xml and updatet the package

Haha, nice :D

I guess internal engines and/or damage (!) would need turning off but on the bright side, a 'mouth' might be able to accommodate an engine.

I was kind of thinking the wrecked state may look more mechanical but those look fun.

add the TO Ships as a Standalone package (because Teladi Outpost is required to use)
and i wrap my Condor with an invisible Fighterdock into it, so it is working as Carrier with Carriers Mod

Well, i recommend Bubo/Uhu and Strix/Strix, as they are big, bulky birds of prey.

Teladiships don't be really Big :roll:,
but they are (under Boost) faster then the other Teladi-Ships because of the booster-Bug that i have fixed already for this models :D .... so we could call them "Bullet"

anyway, actual they called "Phoedor" (and "Phoedor XL" because of Cargospace) so far, but Spherenix sound good too

have made some Variants of the Gangrene Chaser as Carrier with Fighter dock, Destroyer with additional Weapons and Dronedock and a Trading+Mining+Collector Variation with dronedock and Cargospace

Just to stay with birds (from myths).
Coronis kinda rhymes with the HoL dlc anyway :D
