Though I never tried OK traders, I can still tell that improved MK3 are focussed on "fire and forget" and to behave as similar as the vanilla MK3 traders as possible.
So if you're looking for a way to tweak every last bit, this might not be for you.
But I'd suggest to just try and compare yourself ...

Just noting a couple conflicts with other mods, I'm going to try to work them out myself first though.
Conflict between Trader Script Mk3 Optimized and Galaxy Explorer v1.9.8.12, each contains a different !ship.cmd.jump.std.pck file.
Conflict between Trader Script Mk3 Optimized and Lucikes CAG Libraries, each contains a different plugin.autotrade.movepilotcheck.pck file.
I'll let you know what I manage to figure out.

Hey there, i had an issue that i just found this morning, i was loosing about 150k credits every 3 - 5 seconds, after a lot of elimination it turned out to be some of my UTs somehow chewing through my money, and it had been going on for a while, it ate through at least 80 mill before i caught the bug, stoping the command and restarting the UTs solved the problem, sorry i havent read through all of the pages to find out if this has been brought up before just wanted to notify you of it.

Hmmm, this seems like a trader stuck in some sort of loop, deducting salary in every iteration?
If I had the game still installed, I would ask you for a save where I could see that behavior.
So please let me know, if the issue returns and if so, please provide a savegame. I might then install X3 to check it out.
Thanks for reporting!

Hellow,
I just have a question about the script.
When installed, do I just have to launch UT as usual and everyhting is implemented ? Should I buy the Standard MK3 at any good teladi station ? should I fine tune some things in additional windows or is it as simple as the vanilla "launch".
Thanks in advance.

Hello
Difference between "vanilla" mk3 trader and this script is that you don't need to buy every extension (except essential ones) on start, just some basic shields, mk3 trader soft and finding rather calm sector to learn. In time trader will buy more cargo, more speed, bather shields, and even jump drive and weapons when you advance him from Sector to Local, Universe trader. He will not try to fight with pirates/Yaki/Xenon/Kha'ak, but try to flee, jump away (even ST with jump drive can). When needed he will repair ship and return to previous job.
Exactly You just need to restart every running ST/UT (just to be sure). You just need everything what was used in "vanilla" game.MsTkL wrote:Hellow,

You also don't need that in the Vanilla game. [FAQ] What are the requirements for a MK3 trader (Sector/Local/Universe Trader)?Difference between "vanilla" mk3 trader and this script is that you don't need to buy every extension (except essential ones) on start

Re: [SCR] [X3:TC/AP] [v1.8.9.7_fixed] [05/09/2013] MK3 Improvement Reloaded
Unfortunately this script can cause game freezes because sometimes traders pick player owned stations with no money as selling point. As soon as they dock and try to sell their stuff the game will freeze. To fix this you either need to supply all stations/complexes/shipyards etc. that are using resources with enough money or put them on the trader blacklist.
Don't get me wrong - it's a very useful script and I love it but players need to be aware of this bug.

Hey Khaakbuster,
thanks for the bug report. That's an interesting bit of information. I'd be tempted to reinstall X3 to have a look at it ... shouldn't be too hard to fix. I would like to know why it crashes though ... maybe an infinite loop?
It has been a while since I had last played X ...
