Well, after some weeks without playing rebirth, (since 3.20 maybe) I've returned to play. I play fully modded, so provide a clean savegame will be a headache for me. (no pls... )
The problem is: I assign a cap ship to protect a CV, like many other CVs I have protected in actual savegame. The "protector" falls under the + sign in property window and in map correctly but the captain's order is set to none and the ship doesn't go to the CV side
Dunno If comes from the game or from a mod. The only move.escort.capital is from the mod Captain A.I Overhaul. I've disconected it, clean save, reload and still escort doesn't work

I've had the best protection for CVs (once deployed) from docking at them then telling the protector to 'fly to me'. Once they arrive I check they're between the CV & the local highway, then tell them to stop current orders (if necessary) & remove them from squad. Set DO to 'Attack Enemies', & give them a 'Hold position' order if you're not confident..
Some of my spare Titurels are pretty good at this: they've saved the DV shipyard from destruction & the Molten Argon water processor appears to be being rebuilt after its first CV was destroyed (!!! THANK YOU DEVS !!!), so I've moved them there..
I've not had much luck with patrols or subordinates: theyt seem to fly off in random diections far too far from the position/asset they're supposed to be protecting (DEVS: a 'Protect Location/Asset order wouldn't go amiss here), so when baddies do arrive my 'protectors' are 100Km away, take forever to get back to position & once there it's almost certainly too late
However, as you're modded & this is developing into a 'nice-to-have' rather than a bug report I suspect it'll be moved to the general forum pretty soon..
