Meteorite etc missiles flying through hulls

Hello,

Sometimes when I shot Meteorite Missiles at a capship they fly trough the hull without detonating, and sometimes detonate later into the hull but not where I aimed.

This is really annoying when you try to destroy surface comonents on a capship ....

That is usually a symptom of a system somehow being stressed by the game and/or suffering microlags and stutters that interfere with the collision detection stepping. Your system details and some information on your in-game fps and how smoothly the game plays for you would be useful.

I see this occasionally with V Crushers, most obviously when fired at Targon Tracers since the model is small enough that I notice the timeout explosion in the distance.

Can't find my original bug report but it was probably pre-2.50.

MB: ReAct MSI Z97 SLI
CPU: i5 4670K @ 4.3GHz
GPU: KFA2 Geforce GTX 770 (2048MB GDDR5)
RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) @ 2400MHz
Game drive: OCZ 256GB Agility 4 SSD

I've not measured in-game FPS for a while but I think it was in the order or 30+ and I don't think my observations of the issue have been under lag. It's just generally been me shooting Skunk V Crushers and guns at a Targon Tracer in Wrecksville in an earlier plot game (circa 3.0 beta-era).

Here's my setup

MB : MSI H87 G43
CPU : i5 4570
GPU : Radeon HD 7850 - 2Go
RAM : 8 Go

The game is running between 33 and 38 FPS during a fight between 2 Taranis in Auspicious Excavation. It's always smooth.

So is this something that started happening with a new update (which?) or was it always happening for you?

I'd say it started with 3.5 but I'm not totally sure about it.

I probably first bug-reported it sometime in 2.xx but I cannot find the thread with google and I've made too many posts to look back though them :)

Its very easy to reproduce with dumbfire missiles. I know that it is somewhere listed as a task, just there was so much other stuff with higher priority for this person :/

v crushers not working right on cap ships

seems like these fire and pray types just go through the bigger ships. sometimes they will explode on turrets and stuff but mostly it goes right through. i have to time it right and shoot them to make them explode to do damage. i dont run scripts and i didnt edit anything ever.

while this is going on the ship isn't moving at all and i'm somewhat close.

my stats are

windows 8.1

64 bit

processor i7-4790k 4.0ghz

8 gb ram

graphics card- geforce gtx 770
