OK, I understand the nice splines, and their calculation is probably throttled to the current FPS e.g. max 10 routes per frame.
Most of the time I'm not in a dogfight, so i wouldn't mind an option to allow more pathing calculations per frame. This could be a toggle button on screen
Call it boost/overload navigation software.

I doubt (or at least really hope) path calculations are done on the draw-thread and so are not bound to FPS.
They are most likely computing paths in worker threads or something like this, I GUESS.
It takes a while until they calculated a path, which is a little bit nerving. Agree
