@grayx : This mod is only a port from PSCO1 Cockpit Mod, the screenshots in that thread will tell you everything you want to know.

ooh, that's great!Shasslar wrote:Each ship uses a cockpit_scene that directly relates to the cockpit fake patch; if Litcube doesn't modify the paths / names (eg. terran_m1_scene) in the Tships file, there won't be any problems since my mod uses Litcube's Tships and not its own.
Split say NEED MORE FIREPOWER!!
Yeah, first versions used a modified Tships, but it wasn't necessary.
*if you don't care about modding, don't read this*
The original mod gave a few M5/M4 custom cockpits, hence the custom Tships.
I figured that it wasn't necessary, so I removed the custom Tships and harmonised the mod files in order to have one cockpit per ship class. This removes the hassle of modifying the Tships file every update at the cost of almost nothing.
The only thing that bothers me is the gravidar and the textures. I'd like to update them and make the grav use the Litcube version, but I don't know how it will impact performances - higher quality generally means more ressources. I dunno.
Maybe the big red angry Shaman of mods will help me since Joubarbe was deemed unworthy of his Holyness. But I don't even know if he has answers for me.

This is great....thank you so much for putting the time to make this available!
One more favor, if I might...any chance you can load up a version without the glass tint? As in, leave everything else the same, just no glass-colored tint in the cockpit? If this is too much trouble then sorry!
Thanks again, this is exactly what I'm looking for!

I'll try to get it done before the end of the week but no promises, I barely have time to play, let alone mod.
If you have time, you can do it yourself using PSCO1's instructions :
"If you want to remove glass tint yourself, use X3ModManager to open my cat/dat, delete or rename those 3 files:
-tex\true\543.jpg
-tex\true\1000.jpg
-tex\true\1001.jpg "

Thank you for your efforts here Shaalar, very much appreciated.
Small tip that took me far too long to cotton on to : if you find that you are getting an odd looking texture in the shield/hull display areas on the cockpit but everything else is working fine, just turn off Numerical shield/hull in the Gameplay menu.
Error looks like:

(Edit, wait, thats not an error texture, it's trying to display the % numbers in a vertical box)

Is there a cockpit version that doesn't do laser reflections on the cockpit?
I love the idea of being in a cockpit in a space sim but could never use any cockpit X3 mods so far because even the "no glass tints" version has laser reflections which just give me a seizure after 1 minute of firing the lasers. I find it very hard to understand how people can use these mods when 30% of the screen flashes X times per second when firing a laser.
XRM _seems_ to offer a "no glass tints, no reflections" version but if you actually try out that version, it still reflects laser lights (tried firing PAC in a Discoverer) over the cockpit so their description seems wrong.
EDIT: Paul on the XRM thread says that those aren't reflections but laser light effects and that they cannot be altered, damn, no cockpit for me then :(
