I'm experiencing HUGE slowdown when using the script with x0ne turret control.

The first post makes no mention of this script working with xone's.

Due to the nature of the beast, any Turret On/Off script can only work with the turret scripts it supports since any script check/start has to be hardcoded into the script.

I thought the xone script had all sorts of modi? Is there no off switch? =)

I started using this script yesterday for fighting my Hyperion in Xenon sectors, but I've been suffering constant game crashes ever since it was installed (using the cycrows plug in manager)

I can't say exactly when it happens as it seems fairly random, but I just crashed 3 times in the middle of a long dogfight with Xenon L and K's.

Does this script work better if the game is new or is my problem just a coincidence.

The script can start several turret scripts. (that's the ON part =)

If a script attempts to start a certain script and that script does not exist, X3 goes bye bye.

If the crashes happen when pressing the hotkey, that's most likely why.

That would make sense, at least one of the crashes was when using the hotkey to turn the turrets off.

I've checked the forum and downloaded a suite of turrent commands and installed those along with the script of this thread, and again it crashed, so I left the suite installed and uninstalled the turret on/off hotkey and it seems to be stable again, so I'll stick with what I have for now

This may be able to help with the deathblossom effect on the starfighter i'm doing, switching them on and off when needed.

It has certainly helped me go from 500k credits yesterday to over 40 million today, and that includes doing a mission defending a sector from the Xenon, but without this script a lot of the debris I have picked up and sold would have disappeared

hotturret v1 won't work

I finally came back to finish off reunion and I'm trying to get the hotturrent mod to work. I've put the xml files in their respective folders and launched the game, but when I go to the interface tab in the ontrols setup screen there isn't a new hotkey titled "Turret On-Off Switch".

I have v2.5 with the all in one bonus pack installed.

Have you made sure to set your game to *modified*? Otherwise the script files won't be loaded.

If you haven't done so yet, activate the Script Editor, as described here and save and reload your game.
