Computer went down. Had to reload windows. X3 came back but all my saved games were gone! Sad 1.2B credits and my beautiful fleet of trading vessels down the drain. OUCH! Starting over!

I am getting an external HD!

It is always worth backing up your personal files every so often, even if just to CD/DVD or (encrypted) to an on-line server facility.

I'm sorry to hear of such a disaster. If this happened to me I would probably lose the plot completely and end up in a institution for the mentally disturbed.

Keep your chin up. I am guessing that this will never happen to you ever again. Wink

I have my saves backed up over 3 drives, do you think that's enough?

Bad luck! I have just started AP (after a year off from TC) as my TC game became unplayable because of a collision issue. A massive complex of mine in a Terran sector (placed well off the main map!) was suddenly being attacked by the Terrans and my rep dropped like a bomb. All because I jumped into sector during a collision. OOS it's not a problem, IS - NNOOOOOOOO!

It's taken me a year to get over it! But AP is becoming rather enjoyable.
