X3: Albion Prelude Update 2.5.1 is available!

I bought X games with physical media, I am wondering is there any plan to release the v2.5.1 update for non-stream user?

Hi

I found a bug and I don't realy know if is from the update to 2.5.1.

When I did my First UFD jump after the update, all went well untill I dicide to return, the jump count starts, but nothing appens after, and I stay lost forever in the UFJD sector.
I started the UFJD in Saturn wich don't have Gates or Jump Beacon, was that the reason why I could'nt return?
Because i did some Other UFJD form other locations with jump Gates and all went wel.

Was something I did worong?

I'm using My and Killerrog Battlestar Galactica Mod And before this update The UFJD was working fine.

Did you jump near a station or something? If the game has trouble placing you in the same place you were before it won't move you at all.

That's not how it works. Your return position is always slightly different than where you originated, and the game will automatically move you away from any collision boxes. There's no reason he shouldn't be able to return, unless he's out of energy cells or his jumpdrive is missing.

The first step is to have Steam verify your gamefiles. If that doesn't fix it, and you've got one or more mods or scripts installed, you'll need to verify the problem in a vanilla game. If that doesn't resolve the issue, you'll need to start a thread in the Tech Support forum, or have this thread moved over.

That's a very serious bug! Hard to believe it didn't come up in 2.5.1RC/any TC testing.

This bug doesn't exist in TC, it's AP exclusive. And as said before, the scale of a hotfix is always pretty small. The focus of the 2.5.1 hotfix lay on the bugs that made the hotfix necessary in the first place (in this case plot stopping bugs).

Steam doesn't update automatically to AP 2.5.1 although it shows me that I own X3TC and AP. how do I get it to update ? please Help.

Have you made sure that in the Game's properties (right click on the game in your library and select "Properties") in the updates tab the option "Always keep this game updated" is selected? You might have to exit and restart the Steam client in Online mode, so the updated will be downloaded.

you could also try running the game, if it detects an update, it should then install it for you

I have tried right clicking the game but do not get the properties menu (i have steam in German so it should be "eigenschaften" I think.
I did find another menu where auto updates is activated though.
I also tried starting the game but did not get any messages about updated versions.

Steam no-go with the X3AP 2.5.1 update.

I have looked in my library and have changed the setting to "Always update my games" re-started steam but when i click on the AP game it just plays me the videos.
There is nowhere a download button to be seen anywhere.

only trouble since the steam change.

oh for the good old days where I could just download from egosoft site

Steam updates the game automatically if you have auto update on (which you have just done). You may have to exit your steam client then run it again. Then when you click on the game icon, or start it from your library Steam should update the game then run it.
