because its not actually a problem with the hotkey manager

It does not look like hotkey manager by itself can unregister hotkeys, so there seems to be nothing to fix there.
@Cycrow: do you have any ideas why my script to unregister all hotkeys didn't help to resolve the issue? I posted its code a couple of posts above.

are you limited to 10 in a new game as well ?

is it possible that theres some unregistering going on that your not aware of ?

u could try reversing the loop and going backwards, afterall, if you clear the last added hotkey each time, the problem doesn't arise.

althou that shouldn't really make any difference if ur removing them all

New game is OK

Definitely Smile I wish to know where it might be though. The only place I found was that init.community.config.xml and I added a line to reset its global variable just in case.

I'll give it a try. I definitely removed all hotkeys - none showed up in the control configuration after running that script.

Can someone verify that ?

The list of what was changed doesnt seem to include anything to do with hotkeys.

We have also taken the chance to fix some of those annoying little bugs that have been standing in the way of enjoying X3: Albion Prelude for some time now. With version 2.1 the Rapid Response fleets will regain their former strength and help in making the universe a safer place. Some plot bugs have been fixed and an issue with registering custom hotkeys is a thing of the past.

I didnt see the post, let alone the last sentence.

edit : I've not had an email about the patch, and I dont read much outside this forum. So if they dont send an email, I only learn about it from posts in here.

I finally had a chance to update today.

And guess what ?

The update rendered my saves corrupt.

Sad

Was the patch actually tested on a game that had additional hotkeys installed ? Did it happen to anyone else, or is this just me ?

Nothing like this happened for me. I just had to run that script for removing hotkeys one more time to get the missing key back. You don't happen to run some mods changing x3story.obj?

No. Using no-fog and AMS. Modding an obj file is well bwyond me, even if I knew what the file does.
