We are pleased to announce that the following new language versions are now available on Steam:
• X3: Reunion - Russian (text and voice)
• X3: Terran Conflict - Polish, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese (all text only)
• X3: Albion Prelude - Polish, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese (all text only)
If Steam is already running on your PC then you may need to exit the Steam client completely and restart it to activate the new language options.

In case you're interested in more detailed changelogs, here they are:
X3: Reunion:
- Added Russian localisation files with full audio support
- Fixed French localisation in launcher window
X3: Terran Conflict (updated to 3.2a):
- Added localisation files for Polish, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese
- Minor text display fixes required for support of East Asian languages
- Minor text corrections in several languages
X3: Albion Prelude (updated to 2.0a):
- Added localisation files for Polish, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese
- Minor text display fixes required for support of East Asian languages
In both X3TC and X3AP, the new version number is only visible in the launcher window. Saved games remain fully compatible with the respective previous version.
The following information may be relevant for modders:
- No modding-relevant files were changed. Non-Steam mods for X3TC 3.2 are expected to be fully compatible with 3.2a.
- In X3TC, 13.cat/dat was adjusted.
- X3AP gets a new 03.cat/dat.
- When changing the language of X3TC to Chinese, the 06.cat/dat will be replaced with a bigger catalog. No changes, only additional language-specific files.
- Analogously for X3AP and 02.cat/dat.

How is it going for language support in X Rebirth, and has this been an oppourtunity to go back to the legacy products (mentioned above)?

Your continued stewardship of your game titles is highly admirable and is very much appreciated and well respected by this particular customer.
I have no need for these localizations, but I acknowledge the dedication and work necessary to produce them. That is why I will continue to be a loyal customer as long as I can get convenient access to your products!

Without in any way wishing to belittle the efforts of those on the Egosoft team who were involved in getting this update out, I should also make it clear that the amazing job of producing the Chinese translation and setting up the fonts associated with it was in fact done by a group of Chinese fans, who did all the hard work without even telling us and presented it to us as a fait accompli!
Needless to say we are more than happy to be able to offer the games in such a wide range of languages, and extremely grateful to all the volunteers who help make this possible.

It must be a wonderful feeling to produce something that people enjoy so much that they would dedicate such time and effort towards making it more accessible to others.
I can't think of many industries where the customer base can have such a positive influence on a product nor one in which the customer can be so intimately involved in producing. Gotta love it.
Thanks to those fans who continue to make the X series such an enjoyable and well respected, if not well known, title!

I have a dream that one day politicians all over the world will simply put away with all that 'war', 'hate' and 'oppression' stuff and simply start to discuss their X-careers instead.
Either world peace is established soon after that or World War 3 breaks out after an argument about Boreas and Tyr. ;)

I just did an experiment...
I am running a (not heavily) modded TC 3.2 (upgraded DVD version)
I first loaded the save into the Steam 3.2a , and all went smooth. 
I then loaded a Steam 3.2a save into my modded TC 3.2 (upgraded DVD version). This worked too.
So the saves can go forward or back.No problem !

HABIA ALGUNAS TRADUCCIONES DE VERSIONES ANTERIORES QUE NO SE ACTUALIZARON PORQUE DIJERON QUE EN ALGUN PARCHE IBA A ESTAR EN ESPAÑOL
AHORA EN STEAM SOLO LO TENGO EN INGLES....ERA MI JUEGO FAVORITO....
¿CUANDÓ VA A ESTAR LA TRADUCCION EN ESPAÑOL?
DESDE YA MUCHAS GRACIAS.

But, if you would find a time for repair "tractor beam" in this game, i would love this game twice .

Por el tipo de juego que es (simulación...) yo creo que tendria que estar en muchos idiomas, porque aunque se sepa algo de ingles se hace dificil para los demas
Con el tema de la ayuda yo no conozco de nada como para eso.
Un lugar que se ocupan de esos temas es por ejemplo clandlan.net tienen traducciones propias y otras, tambian hay foros, ahi consegui la traduccion de "sins of a solar empire diplomacy" (capaz seria bueno que todos los que estan en el tema se junten en un lugar, tambien para otros juegos no?...)

Not sure, where this "X Rebirth language" is spoken, but I don't think that we have any translators for it.

i doubt the voice part could be done for X-Rebirth..since there are no females (at least that is what it seems) on our translation team (chinese)..but the text part, we are ready for it to come..
