I think they are givin a lot of information. The last three Screenshots postet are at least just 3 weeks old. You can see that they are still working and the game "looks" ready to sell. Also the artifical intelligence seems to work. So you can guess that they game ist already closed beta or that they still want add some stuff or story.
2012 releasedate seems legit.
And you are talking about to less info?
I can't understand that... sorry.

Spami, I think you are letting your mind run wild. The AI is good? We have no info whatsoever on AI or engine, or gameplay (aside from big picture plans, not facts), or story, or release date. We have a few renders, and some screenshots. I think 2012 is out of the picture. I bet there are 12 months at least until release. Summer next year seems a much more realistic date.

Anyway to go back to the topic, if you see a list of games that are verified to be shown in E3, XR is not there. EXCEPT if it is one of E3's secret games (AFAIK seven such games are expected).
Check for example with IGN.
My gut's tell me it is not one of those seven. Hope I am wrong.

We also have gameplay videos which were released last year. So it's being released this year most certainly.

I'm sick of seeing "move your hips for profits" on top of the front page.
At this point, I will take any kind of news.
ES can't release info about the development ? No biggy. Show us picture of the developers drinking coffee, or Bernd walking his dog in the streets.
Anything, just so we know people are still alive.

Unfortunately, Kings and Castes has been put on the shelf for the time being, but the weekly video blogs during its development sure made the wait a lot more fun. Of course, I don't know if anyone at Egosoft can match the personality of Chris Taylor.

why would ES and DS waste their resources for showing this game on E3? E3 is the home for overhyped triple A games (read, consolized games) that have big publishers backing them, some well known world renowned game franchises, and at least some of the higher end mass appealing products from indie developers... E3 is definitely not for showing niche games that are hard to play like our beloved X games

because today, all the aye's of the gaming community in the world is fixed on LA. we know of the game, but you can bet, there are a lot of other gamers out there ho would shit there paints if they only knew a game like this is in the making.
in other words, there wouldn't be any easier/cheaper/faster way to reach some new random customers, beyond hardcore spaceship game fans that by some lucky chance come across Egosoft (I know, I did, just a lucky google hit one rainy afternoon)

Yeah, but isn't it an issue where Deep Silver supposedly reserved a booth only to declare later that it won't be present?
This might indicate that the publisher does not have anything to show on E3, which might point to delays in Rebirth development. Add to that absolute lack of recent info from Egosoft and it gets a bit worrying.
