that has to be sarcasm lol, right? lol i thought it was pretty damn Stunning. i know we all wanna see some screenshots of the user interface, and the Inside of the Pride of Albion. etc.

I was chewing over the new screenshot and I remembered something.
I forgot to say THANK YOU EGOSOFT CREW!
it can be hard to please screenshot devouring gremlins as ourselves. just don't feed us after midnight and we'll stay cute and cuddly.

yeah, well, in this latest 'screenshot' I see a lot more of the same grey coloured theme, dull rust colours, grey space, which i can't help find boring. and more stupid space fog.
And has anyone else worked out the location yet? I bet it is in the same cluster of habitats from last week. I can see the power cables that come from the 'Split Derelict Ship' power generator. This is just another aspect of the same scene...
oh well if you cant' beat em, join em .. dull grey/brown colour schemes, like all the other dull grey games out there. huh.
Adding: it would be nice to see something other than the factories now. Anything else in the game besides drones and factories?
Adding: still appreciate the pictures, don't mean to grumble really, just im in my 'grumpy old person' mode atm....

The last pic had a completely different lighting. No way is this the same scene.
That which you call the power cables are actually simply anchor cables holding the two parts of the asteroid together. You can see this in the first pic.

Another great scene, the universe is definately looking more diverse this time around. I hope we will see a drone or ship in game slicing through an asteroid as depicted, that would be worth finding.

i think as one of the main focuses of Rebirth is going to be station interaction / activity around stations these screenshots do make sense, yes eveyrone wants to see a 3d boron dancing to the soundtrack from kingdom end on the flight deck of a super MO but would you not prefer to have all of these things surprise you the first time you fire up the new game?

I mean, if that's what mobile mining looks like in Rebirth then it is one hell of an improvement over X3's mobile mining system.

i wonder if it can cut ships in two. i mean what would we need weapons for, if we have space-lightsabres? shielding is no answer since that gets vaporised to by impact of energy...
