Anyone else seeing this? Sometimes the Turbo-Boost will work, sometimes it will CTD. If I don't touch the turbo button, it's as stable as can be, but when I press turbo, there's about a 50/50 chance of a crash.

Just using AP 2.0, with the latest XRM, and the bonus pack (that includes the turbo booster)

If I'm the only one getting this, then I've obviously hosed something up somewhere.

Well, at least it's not just me. Apparently we're in the minority, though. Smile

Are you guys using the keyboard or some other kind of controller?

I have never had a problem with the Turbo Booster, but I have noticed that rapidly multiple-clicking on certain scripts can cause a crash. It only happens on scripts that I have assigned to the hat on my joystick. That makes me think that it is an interrupt-related problem.

The cure, for me, was to only click once. Then wait a second or two before clicking the same control again.

The trigger has no such problem -- it was just the hat.

If you are doing this with a keyboard, then I have no idea.

I am using it mapped to my X52, so that's a possibility. I'll test later and re-map to keyboard only.

I wonder if I mapped it to keyboard, then used the Saitek CP to map the button to the key....hmmmm...

Well, how about that? I assigned it to a keyboard command, and it works! I even mapped that keyboard command to my X52, and it still works! As long as I don't map the Boost directly to the stick, there are no problems.

Very cool. Thanks for the help!

Nice!

It seemed like a "shot in the dark". I am glad that it was a well-placed shot. Smile

Seems like some kind of timing/hardware interrupt issue.

Thank God someone has an answer! I have dealt with this issue for so long with my T-Flight Hotas X that I got too scared to use turbo boost. I noticed it was especially a problem if there was action (weapons, enemies etc) around.

Thanks for the solution guys! also, this brings new insight into why I may have "random" crashes. They may be from other script hotkeys on my joystick. I may instead use keyboard hotkeys isntead and see if I get less crashes.

Glad I found this. Have been having the same issue. Not sure why it has not been remedied by now!
