what i dont really get is your reluctance to provide the information to recreate such exploit, if anything to leave a record of it in the forums for future reference. hogging information in hopes you get rewarded in exchange for it seems rather "pointless" i wanna say? idk...
my suggestion is:
stop with the pissing contest, yes this has become one between certain people in this thread and actually post what are your methods or just stop posting about it altogether, posting bout it leaves to further confirm and possibly getting it fixed, if not by egosoft by an interested scripter/modder.
PS: i don't mean this as a personal attack on anyone, just mho about bugs in games.

OH NO incoming extreamly large numbers. My graphing calculator with 150Mhz CPU and 16MB or RAM can calculate numbers up to 446! before approximating the number to infinety (note: that only uses a small percentage of it's RAM.) If my calculator can handle numbers up to that high with accuracy I think the Egosoft server can do a little bit better.
BTW 446! is 4283971436414476970948883390419825601892807261664364381147705

thats why i see this whole topic as extremely amusing.....
'look what i (my brother) can do.... gimme something for it... no its a challenge cuz im better.... no i just want the credit for finding it.... ha no one else can find it lulz'

I am struggling to understand how can you potentially abuse the stat system by having multiple PHQs... This is something I really can't wrap my mind around. Care to help?

Slug, c'mon! The threads about exploits are always entertaining. This one is only different that in lieu of the actual exploit we are getting entertained by the OP instead. Funny that several people actually asked me to add PHQs for sale to their vanilla games. That should tell us something about the sorry state of X universe and how unfinished the pure vanilla game is.

I know you didn't ask me, but I'll try to help.
If you had looked at game #2 that was posted, and looked it over, then you might have noticed a bit more resources than what a single Mammoth can bring. And if you read the second thread reference that was posted, in the fisrt message was a save game called "The Goner Billionaire" that holds a billion credits in only 6.5 hours game time. It was done using the same exploit we are discussing here.
Using ones imagination, one can extrapolate a problem for the statistics keeping process.

Yeah but you can make 100's of billions in no time with the nividium TL trick so I don't think they care too much about the stats tbh.

Who cares about Stats? That's the same with achievements ...
Anyways, it's software, and every software can be exploited.

Go to the bother(no pun intended)of finding the exploit,or script the same results and have modified tag.Yup I would be happy with the second.
I play x for me I set my own goals, boohoo you have 7hqs good for you,I have 500o fighter drones in a mamoth waiting to be unleashed.I got my fighter drones through honest hard piracy, you got your hqs through an exploit..Whats shinier I wonder.

The PHQs of course. Why?
Because as you can see from our first posted game, we have plenty of ability to make 5000 drones and however many TL ships we desire through normal methods...
However, you can't have multiple PHQs in vanilla without a hack or an exploit. And this thread is about exploits that come with the game.
If you don't mind having that modifed tag, why are you here showing an interest in an exploit for non-modified games?

Who cares about stat.s?
The Stats and Achievements are often belittled as most people see them as just a badge of honour for those at the top of the table. Achievements probably are just that and so are of little consequence but for someone like myself who are not Geeks the Stat.s can be an important learning tool. They are detailed enough for beginners to look at the details of the leaders and learn important lessons on how they are doing it! In fact it also works the other way round, as I was once asked by a table leader why my puny empire needed so many ships? I replied that besides my traders and many three capital ship defence patrols, half my ships were LT clouds deployed against Xenon gates! He replied that he deployed as little as possible against the Xenon, viewing it as a waste of resources. However the next post of his I read, he was explaining the details of the fleet he had used to clear the Xenon core sector. Had I given a far more formidable player a LIGHTBULB moment, maybe?

to me the stats are pointless... the only stats i concern myself with are the checklist i make at the start of a game, you know the roleplay checklist, ingame stats are of no concern to me...
stats applied to DiD games would be good, as would the achievements, lets face it someone who has done the "Kill 1000 Xenon" in a DiD is doing pretty well... also their innability to reload after a failed boarding attempt means the stats would be true... in a way. but what good is having a 100% boarding when you reloaded 20 times for that Xenon I?

Well, I poo poo'd the stats a fair bit when they first came out ... in hindsight and to be honest; some of that was probably due to a percentage of sourgrapes on my part, due to having what i at the time thought was a massive game in Reunion that could never go on to the top becuase it was one of those which had suffered the **modified** bug at sometime in my vanilla game, of which i was completely unaware until I learned how to check for it, and by then it was too late in my view to bother starting a new game...
With X3TC I never considered submitting my stats until I had not played for a few months (damn ME2 and Starcraft!), and one day I was looking at it, and thought, well, why not? I wonder where it will get? Now i have nice shiney medals .... polishpolish, polishpolish, heh, so now I think its cool sort of... can change my mind if i want no?
