Attention! The amount of shields you are attempting to order cannot possibly fit in your cargo bay!

Will there be a fleet managment script in XTL (or do we have to use CODEA)

Thanks
Jack

Maybe down the road there might be a script that jack08 or TrixX could write but right now their main focus is getting the base of the mod and balancing done so it works for the initial internal beta test as well as the XTL version of the IR chaos edition groundwork done.

Can't say too much myself because TrixX and Jack08 would have me hanging by a rope around my neck if I did Laughing

I don't think CODEA will be compatible, but yes there will be... with a shiny DLL interface too... if i get the time between the template manager, the economy, finishing chaos... about 30 other things... ive got a little bit to do Very Happy

Laughing I'm in the same boat as him... I can alter some stuff in the Tfiles (to a point) but I will not touch script stuff... my brain goes all scattery when I see the code in scripts and I don't have the patience atm to learn to script.

hehe, i usually use scripts to alter TShips and other files if i need to do batch changes... remove trails? script, double click, done in moments Very Happy Remove cockpits? *click*, it makes it much easier on TrixX because he can make a "Master" version with everything in it.. and i can run scripts to export the other versions Smile

There is however a good fleet script in the game already, its limited in configuration because it was written for the AI (and the AI is scary...) So that should be ok for use by the player with a few adjustment Smile It wont be overly feature rich at release because of the pile of other things i have to do, but will definitely be improved over time.

edit:
Crap i just broke the vanilla HQ, oh well put that on the list of thing that need to be rewritten.

Indeed, I'm just getting back into the X-universe front with me waiting for X:R and XTC 2.0 I'm getting bored of the current games i'm playing... ANNO 2070, SWTOR and Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion beta (it's quite limited right now to test and interest with me is fleeting especially if it doesn't grab my attention, ESPECIALLY IF IT ISN'T BALANCED AND FULL OF BUGS lolz )

Yeah Jack08 has made my life hell easy for cockpit mods being applied etc...

Also Litcube and his insane abilities with Excel, which I'm still in awe of.

So just gotta get this balance done before Jack08 rips my head off for being too much of a perfectionist Shocked

Not trying to perfect everything, trying to instill a balance of difference between the races and their ships. Overall design styles etc....

Balance to perfection is easy, balance to include flaws and feel different is hard Wink
