So I'm getting ready to do the main plot in X3AP, and I'm buffing up my reputation with the terrans so I can still be on good trading terms with them after. But my ATF rep started at, and has remained at, 'Suspect Programmer: 82%'
Any way to change that so I can have a little insurance if the ATF is caught in the crossfire?

The only way to raise ATF rank in AP is to trade with them, as they don't own any sectors to pewpew their enemies in and they don't offer missions.

Buy ship equipment from their stations, like trade system extension and everything else (cargo bay extensions, speed and steer bosts don't add to rep, don't bother with those, just software). After I barraged a Tokyo in the plot, I had to equip over 40 Rapiers in Althes to get back on good terms with them.

Cargo and speed upgrade does positively add to rep ! I've gone up 3-4 ranks just buy buying Sabres, and upgrading speed at the Althes ODS.

It doesn't, I checked it didn't move a % while it went up for software which is way cheaper. If it did, this could be solved with one Baldric upgrade...

you are wrong i went up 2-3 ranks just buying cargo 1 by 1
after when i got the rank to buy/sell stuff i just setup a CLS2 to buy and sell wares and now it's maxed

Can hack them from Titan Pirate Base. I think Terran space always at all times have one of those bases assigned by GOD.

The problem is it doesn't matter if you hack them and you dont have the reputation to land, even in border sector stations there is a minimum reputation requirement for landing and if you don't have that you are screwed.

I don't know if the ATF have traders in AP, but if they do, you can set up factories near their stations. NPC traders buying/selling at your stations improves your rep. It's slow-going, though.

You shouldn't bother with avoiding ATF because you can't make them friendly.
Why didn't you search the forum for one of many topics about ATF rep?

ATF actually have some stations, i think few orbital defense stations are belong to ATF, so if you do missions there, you'll boost ATF rank..
my problem is actually terran rank since i'm already terran terrorist after finishing the plot, and all terran stations/ships are red to me, i don't know how i can get back in good term with him (and by doing mission in few ATF station only appear to increase ATF rank, not terran rank....)
