|
|
I had entered a couple of sectors into the blacklist and went back to playing the game. Then I get another notice that a level 25 ut is under attack in omicron lyrae, so I reloaded and was able to get the trader out of the sector. I know for a fact that was one of the sectors I blacklisted. the stupid trader had a jumpdrive and around 1200 e-cells, so there is no reason to go into that secor.
I have sector traders in terran space, so I didnt block all of terran space. Since there is a different way to get to non blocked sectors (other than jumping, why go to a sector that is blcklisted (why not jump past it, or take a different route?) anyway, I tried to open the blacklist again and it is no longer available.
I opened the command console, then looked for the "additional comands" option, and it is no longer available. I checked several UT's and exited the game completely, had steam verify the game files (everything was ok), the exited steam. I restarted steam, reloaded X3AP and the "additiniol commands" option is still unavailable (not visable). Thanks for any and all help with this annoying problem.

The Blacklist is for Mk3 traders and is only available from the X3AP Bonus Pack. Have you reinstalled the game and not reinstalled the BP?
The blacklist has two lists, Player selection and Automatic. You cannot edit but can only view the Automatic one.
When you do get your blacklist commands back, have a look here too.

I have not reinstalled the game which is why I am confused about the blaclist missing. I have not installed any other programs either, just for the record. I had opened the blacklist and added the war sectors shortly after downloading the 2.0 update (about a day after the update).
I did the whole steam verify deal, tried exiting my game and resarting the computer and then restarting the game, all to no avail.
I had noticed a few other complaints about the blacklist from other players as well. Although I do not recall seeing any complaints similure to mine. As you know, the 2.0 update is automatic, I was wondering if there was a manual way of reinstalling the update. I was hoping that redoing the update might fix the problem. I really do not want to go to the hassle of reinstalling the game, as it is a large game and takes a while to download and install. During the download, my computer and internet connection is tied up.
Although I realize I could do other things on my pc, it would run slower and slow down the download and install as well.

1. Have you just tried reinstalling just the X3AP BP that you already have downloaded?
2. Just delete the Steam X3TC addon folder and do a verify of X3AP and you will then only download and reinstall the X3AP bits - about 1 Gb I think.
If considering no 2, I would actually do it before no 1 if you want the BP.

Ok, I deleted the addon as sugested, did the steam verify, checked for blacklist which was still no visable. Then reinstalled bonus addon. I am still not seeing the blacklist. It was there before. I cant remember if I used the blacklist just before the 2.0 update, or just after.
Bottom line, I am sick and tired of having level 25 UT's going into astroid belt with silicone. I have some traders going, and a bunch of superfreighters that I control myself, so my game is extremely busy for me. I save often, but still, it is a lot of work redoing stuff do to a reload that was caused by the trader going into a war zone (namely astroid belt, with silicone)
During a five minute time frame, I can give orders to several ships and then have to start all over which means re doing as many as many as 30 plus orders. And that is if it has only been 5 minutes since my last save, if it has been 10 or 15 minutes, the number of things that needs to be repeated gets very large.
Can some one please help me with this problem. Thanks in advance

I know it is frustrating for you but we are not looking at your game nor do we know what you have done before or are doing now, which is why we have to ask questions, eliminate the obvious or suggest things blindly.
Let me therefore ask one more probably silly question - when you reinstalled the BP (and assuming you installed it into the correct place in the Steam TC addon folder) did you select the option to enable the blacklist manager script?
Assuming you did and just to finalise things, explain in steps what you are doing to look for the blacklist manager commands on one of your Mk3 traders. Normally it lives in the ship command screen within 'additional ship commands' right underneath 'turret orders' - as per BP notes.
Opening the Manager
The manager can be started from every MK3-trader's ship command console. First open the command console and scroll down to Additional Ship Commands. Then, select 'Start MK3 Blacklist Manager'. The Manager offers the options to add sectors and stations to the list, remove them again, and to view the automatic blacklist that is managed by the MK3 trading software.
EDIT: The issue seems to have been resolved as stated in duplicate thread on the Universe forum.
