X3 AP: Fleet Commands, Explorer Software???

Post by Splitz » Wed, 21. Dec 11, 19:16

Forgive me if this have been posted before.

Im currently abit puzzled on how to use the Explorer Software and speceficly Sataelite Network command. Also im having difficulties with Fleet Commands. I don't know if they are buged or wether it's just me fooling around doing things the absolutly wrong way???

NB i have no mods installed and script editor has been enabled.

In any case this is the situation.
Okay so i started as the Humble Merchant and quickly established a healthy economy ( Thabks to Stock Exchange  ) i then proceeded to buy the following software for my Discoverer namely: Fight Command Sofware MK 1 and 2, Special Command software, Supply Command Software, Navigation Software, and last but not least the Infamous Explorer Software.

Hears the thing, whenever i command my Discoverer to setup a Satellite Network... well nothing happens, cept i get to chose what sector to execute the cammand in and thats it, nothing happens and the Discoverer apparently reverts back to having no commands???

The other part is in relation to the Fleet Command software. Firstly i completet some of the quest/missions appointed to me from Argon Military. I did so to a point where i got a Centaur and had to escort a Mammouth, bla bla bla ect, not important. I then began to estup a fleet by making my Centaur Fleet Commander (Player ship) and thereafter assigning aditionally 2 ships, a Discoverer and a Enhanced Elite... Both ships are fully armed to the teath and have the following Software installed: Fight Command Sofware MK 1 and 2, Special Command software, Supply Command Software, Navigation Software, and Patrol Software... So it seams i have everything needed. This is where things begin to screw up... whenever i issue fleet commands my own ship (The Centaur) automaticaly engages auto pilot. The other ships assigned to the Fleet simultaniously excutes the command given, for instance defend sector, and now comes the problem... whenever i break out of auto pilot the 2 other ships breaks of their mission and reverts back to fleets formation???

Plz tell me im doing something wrong  it's very annoying... and sory for the long post.

The Explorer software works very well for me, satellites everywhere. :)

Before giving the command make sure that there is at least one satellite in your ship, preferably more.

when you choose your sector, use the numpad keys to select a position for your sats. I usually choose dead center, but high, and always make sure the stock exchange is in the area of it, so that you can trade from other sectors.

Don't know the answers to your other questions, sorry.

fleet command software was not meant to be used with the player ship.

Your mistake is making you part of the fleet.

Your second mistake is trying to use fighters. If you don't handle everything by yourself you will spent millions of credits every skirmish REPLACING the DEAD fighters.
Stargate is better....

KAAWOOOOOSH!!
