Description

I'm happy as a kid in a sweetshop atm, here is my first ever mod, i've not released it as a new plugin but more because "I made this"

Use or Use not, There is no try!

I made this for 2 reasons,

1) I was very very bored
2) I was very very bored and fancied killing something and wanted some sectors to stay clear i was was testing in.

The uber turret is a new upgrade to Lasertowers that has been unearthed by the terran (pun intended) and stolen by the Yaki. With purchase of "Uber Turret Upgrade" software from Terran EQD's or the Yaki EQD for a measly 188m credits, lasertowers can be upgraded to Uber Turrets

I've done it in 3 packages just to see if i could

in the file is a vanilla mod, a mod that should work with SRM Mod and the last should with with both CMOD & SRM Mods

Pick which you want and either run it as an optional mod or false patch as the next highest cat/dat number available

Once you have a lasertower, UBT Software and Mass Driver Ammunition (Which the UBT requires to run on) you can drop a turret in any sector.

Once dropped the tower can be set to stay put or roam around the sector at 15m/s. Due to the unique way the hardcode fudgepacked me in setting the shiptypes to be culled you will need to set separate friend foe options for the turret.

The tower can be reloaded with MD Ammo, the rest it takes care of itself.

All commands can be found via a hotkey but you must be in the UBT's sector for any to work. OOS settings are disabled because i felt like it.

If you change the setting just find the option for "Release The Fury"

Q: Isn't this a touch overpowered
A: Indeed

Q: Why have you set the ware to yaki terran only
A: So if you want to play to hget it you can, if you have a problem with this just cheat yourself the equipment you need.

Q: What happens if it shoots me
A: Nothing, I've used magic to make all bullits ignore your shields like in star trek
actually you die instantly

Q: Is it indestructable
A: not quite OOS but it took out 2 fleets of RRF ships and a Q-fest in testing. I decided to leave a touch of mortality to it

Q: Should i use this mod
A: I don't really care

Yaki EQD??? What Yaki EQD??? Does this mod add one?

The idea sounds like fun I guess merging it with other Ship mods is just a matter of changing the SS_SH_ORBITALLASER entry to match? And from the sound of things the PBC bullet has been changed to utilise MD Ammo?

Will look forward to trying it out.
