They aren't ment for "your" ship. MK1 and 2 are for selling and bying stuff for your stations (first you set a home base for the ship and then you either set it to buy some stuff for the best price, or sell it.. You can't be in the ship, neither should you want to =) ). MK3 is for autotrading in a system, no need for a home base. Just place the ship in a system with loads of stations and select the start system trading (or some such) from the trade menu. You can't be in the ship here either.

I think he means the Trading System Extension (not the trading software or auto-trading software). All it means is that when you look at a factory or station, it will tell you the price of the goods within it, without you having to dock at the station to find out. Before you would have been told what was for sale but no the price.

You also need it to issue order to your fleet in other sectors.

trading

Post by Fatboy1109 » Mon, 8. Mar 04, 08:07

If you intend to trade it is a good idea to get the best buy and sell locators, saves alot of button pressing to find the best selling ro buying price.

You can also target the factory from the bb locator screen, esc from the screen hit 'u' and 'j' and sit back then hit 'd' or let the ship dock with the factory without any input from you.

Hope this helps??

You can now :D (in 1.3)

Just press R to bring up your assets
hit c on the ship in question to open its command console
select navigation, then use jump drive

and away you go (or rather away he goes  )
