Has anybody got Hyperion 236.7 m/s in X3TC 3.0?
I decided that I want at least 236.7 m/s for this time, so I keep reloading for 2 weeks by now - more that 1000 times already - and evidently I never got it. There were 7 of 230 m/s but I keep trying. I'm afraid that something is changed in 3.0 and 230 m/s is the limit now. Has anybody actually got Hyperion 236.7 m/s in X3TC 3.0?
Thank you.
Thank you.

The Hyp is different tho... the quest reward is randomly overtuned for you, meaning whatever stats it claims as the max are not valid for this particular ship.
I will be starting that start in the next day or two, and I will let you know how my reloading goes! If I can break 230 then you will be the first to know about it!

The Hyperion that vradchuk is refering to is the overtuned Hyperion Vanguard that gets returned to the player after completing the mini-plot of the Poisoned Paranid gamestart. This particular Hyp can be far faster/manuverable than the standard version (what stats the ship has upon return is random). There is also one other gamestart that awards the player with an overtuned tuned ship as well.ComedianGR wrote:Check the ship info, it says current max speed and upgradable to.
If the upgradable to says a number you can't go faster than that without the help of a script.
There are also a number of ships that are overtuned beyond normal capabilities that can be found in vanilla universe via missions. I once encountered a Harrier Raider during a Follow mission that had a speed of 646.2 m/s with an acceleration of 416 m/s, a stock HR does 525 m/s /339 m/s (top speed/acceleration respectively).
Back to the Hyp, the best I ever got for mine was 214.6 m/s (back during 1.3) which I got on one of my earliest tries. Next 200+ reloads the fastest I managed was in the 209 m/s range. IIRC there was a listing someone made on how fast the Hyperion could be, I think the maximum tuning the Hyp could have for speed was in the 250 m/s range (don't recall acceleration).

Here's the thread I made concerning this:

However, this experiment was done in v2.5. I haven't tried it again in v3.0.
If someone could walk me through how to upload a save file, I have one where I've just been cured and received a 236 m/s Hyperion.

Now that's dedication!yycy wrote:I reloaded for 6 hours and got 1 236.7 hyperion...

am I the only one who thinks someone got a bit carried away with the RNG? wouldn't it have been better to link it to some level of performance in the mission?
Where's the kaboom? There was supposed to be an earth-shattering kaboom!

I can't really see this special hyperion changing in 3.0. It was a special reward for a start, the fact that you have to reload for a long time to get that so called maximum speed says it all, I doubt they would've changed that and it would have been noticed for sure if it was made like normal hyperions.
Haven't tried it myself in 3.0 but knowing how much this start is liked for the reward I doubt it would've gone unoticed if if had recieved a hit from the nerf bat

I thought of something.
If this can't happen in v3.0 but happen in an earlier version, if you have an earlier version update (there is the v2.0 available somewhere in the forum) that in that version it's possible to get it and if by reloafing you mean that you start a scenario from scratch, then
1) uninstall the game
2) reinstall the game
3) update it in the earlier or do not update at all
4) start that scenario and get the special ship
5) update the game to v3.0
6) you got your ship in v3.0
a note: you can load saves from earlier version than the one you are playing but not from laters, so if you can't load your saves before going to step 5 then don't worry.

I have a v2.1 savegame with a 250.3 m/s Hyperion (this weekend finally finished Paranid Start). After less than 30 reloads I got what I initially wanted, a 250 Hyperion. In a whole I did 300 reloads, because I got greedy and also wanted overtuned steering.

Here you will find one with an overall game untouched :vradchuk wrote:I decided that I want at least 236.7 m/s for this time, so I keep reloading for 2 weeks by now - more that 1000 times already - and evidently I never got it.
