X3: Terran Conflict 3.0 has arrived!

Post by Toastie » Thu, 7. Oct 10, 18:54

The much-anticipated arrival of Update 3.0 is now upon us and it brings a new set of adventures, called 'Balance of Power', which was specially developed as a feature for the X Superbox. Also featured in the update is a long-awaited reward for completion of Operation Final Fury.

Update 3.0 also features the Dead-is-Dead gameplay mode for X3: Terran Conflict. This is only available to those players who play through the Steam client, but owners of the DVD version are reminded that they can register their DVD version with Steam to be able to enjoy this new feature in addition to Steam Achievements.

It also gives EGOSOFT great pleasure to announce that the X-Superbox, which contains updated versions of all of the X-Universe game titles to date, as well as a content-packed Bonus DVD and a PDF version of the 300-page X-Encyclopedia will be available for download from Steam as well as being available in boxed form from many leading retailers and EGOSOFT's online shop.

Steam customers will also, for the very first time, be able to purchase and download the standalone versions of X: Beyond the Frontier and X: Tension.

Terran Conflict players who bought their game from Steam are reminded that their Steam client will automatically update the game and that there is no need to download the patch from Egosoft.com.

Registered players of the DVD version of the game can, as usual, download the update from the site, using the link below.

Pretty sure there is always save game compatibility between release versions. So yes.

:O

Has it sold out already?

I looked on the Egosoft shop and the only version available is the German one.

Why the hell didn't I preorder it?

So, any chance we could get a list of what made the Bonus DVD?

I see that the hidden steam achievements on the achievements page still do not show up in the normal list. Are they going to be added at a later date or have they been scrapped?

Thanks once more for such a great patch! Having fun with the new stuff so far.

Still amazed at the X-Universe from time to time, all these ships flying around, doing their stuff independantly from you: trading, patrolling, fighting. That is what sets it off from other games, the AI using the ships to get somewhere.
