When this idea began i barely knew anything about the new ship classes. I didn't know what a IBL, or TM was, neither how the new weapons performed. After playing a bit with my carrier, escorts and fighters, i'll have a better idea for the next XFF. Plus, if i bet on someone and win, some extra money for the newb would be appreciated

The Credit Bonus is currently under debate.
While the person/people who correctly guess who the winner of XFF I will receive a 1mil credit bonus, the XFF I winner should get a 2mil credit bonus for XFF II.
Predicted XFF I Winner
Tenlar Scarflame bets on Killjaeden
Deadbeat_Spinn bets on Cpt.Jericho, Out (Death, Round 1)
Cpt.Jericho bets on Alex Vanderbilt, Out (Death, Round 1 [Redo])
Alex Vanderbilt bets on Spitzeuk
X2-Eliah bets on Alex Vanderbilt, Out (Death, Round 1 [Redo])
Le Baron bets on Alex Vanderbilt, Out (Death, Round 1 [Redo])
travisdh1 bets on stemardue, Out (Death, Round 1)
Killjaeden bets on NUKLEAR-SLUG, Out (Death, Round 1)
It seems the current favorite to win is Alex Vanderbilt......wonder how EmperorJon's taking it.
And unfortunately both Cpt.Jericho & Alex Vanderbilt has been KIA along with stemardue & NUKLEAR-SLUG.
The remaining survivors, Killjaeden & Spitzeuk, will be fighting again in Round 2. However they will be facing off against one another in Round 2 so only one of them will make it to Round 3.

The winner gets a bonus? so they can have a bigger/better fleet in XFF II ? that sounds a bit unfair really. Shouldn't it be less credits? kinda like success ballast in motorsport?

2 million credits isn't going to buy much, hell the cost of some guns are in the neighborhood of 1 million credits. 2 million might be able to buy a half way decent M4.
I remember back when this first started people were saying 250 million credits is a lot of money. But in truth it's not, the average M2 will eat close to half of a 250mil budget.

If the winner chooses not to compete in XFF II then no bonus I guess or it could go to the winners opponent. But odds are the vast majority of fleet submitters will partake in XFF II.
@CJ, you backing AV as the winner?

I remember back when 500mil budget was discussed. The only prize offered for the winner was a still to be announced title and I think we should leave it at that.

But I go for Spitzeuk as winner. Why? He's the one with the least credits left.
1 Million more would have been enough to have 20 Medusae instead of the Persi...  Or two more PSG.

Well, as long as you get to round 2. It's the Oddy that would make the difference I think - PSGs can wreck a whole fleet of fighters in no time and PPCs can stand against anything else.
As for Spitzeug: He can best my fleet, I think. But it's IMO not suitable against massive fighter attacks.
1mio extra would probably have given me another Katana (since I didn't substract the shields that my ships came with).
