From memory, that dialog should offer you more work with the Terrans, and you have to accept that work. Immediately you do, you get a mission to go to talk to someone in Uranus.

i think there is a delay on the next mission starting from when you agree to work for the terrans ( after the escort mission from omicron lyrae ) when you start with one of the none terran starts.

I dont recall it that way, but it might be so.

If you dont get a message inside an hours gametime, then its broken somehow. If theres a delay, then I would expect it after about 10 to 20 minutes gametime.

In the 6th Terran Mission is there any way to increase the number of Terran ships killed in the battle without shooting them?[ external image ]

Missiles!!!

First time i tried that part the Terrans lost all of thier fighters and only the Odin (and the Scabbards) survived. The list of containers went on for about 1 and a half pages.[ external image ]

I hit the Odin on my way out of the sector and haven't been able to repeat my good fortune since.[ external image ][ external image ]

I have been trying to board the pirate truelight seeker in the goner plot for almost 3 hours now, i can't even count how many boarding attempts i've made with these 8 argon marines.

Am I doing something wrong?

Don't waste any marines on that ship (you wouldn't get them back, anyway). Wait till it stops, then eject and just claim it. It will then turn blue and fly home.

I've tried that :( there is no claim button :(

edit: and on a side note, that ship really hurts when it starts shooting you :( it barbecues my yokohama in like 10 seconds flat

I haven't tried it in 2.5, but in 2.1 it worked. Did you shoot at it? Then it will become hostile and start its attack runs.

On the plus side, it has only front guns and a very limited shooting angle, so it's easily avoided. Just stay away from its nose.

The first time I blew up all of the pirates and it stopped moving but there wasn't a claim button when I ejected so I tried to board it. It went red when I brought its shields down.
after training another 8 marines to 4stars in every category I tried again and they never even breached the hull. I am going to create another thread and hopefully someone can give me a workaround.

I found I had to get VERY close to the truelight seeker before it would let me claim it (patch 2.5). Before that I tried using marines without success (they attempted to hack the core and failed).

Bit of an old thread to revive, but since it's a guide, probably still useful info (he says, pretending to be a mod :P )

As I understand it, you cannot claim the Truelight Seeker under v2.5 if you attack it before trying. If it is attacking you (since you attacked it) some people have stated that the claim option did not become available...

I found this thread through google when searching for plot walkthroughs, so yes, very useful for lots of people :)

The requirements of the 2nd stage of the HUB plot have changed from:

Deliver 150,000 Teladianium.

Then 250,000 Crystals

to:

Deliver 150,000 Teladianium.

Then 450,000 ORE

(Patch 2.5)

It's always been, Teladianium then Ore for Stage 2. Crystals aren't until Stage 3.

There is a bug in Mission 5 that i encountered.

If you dont fly the ship that has Heywood and Pearle onboard yourself and have it dock at the end of the mission on the station in heretics end, the "mission completed" notification will show up but the storyline then does not continue.

replayed the mission flying the ship myself, yet still the plot does not continue after mission completed :(

Not sure if someones stated it or not.
But on the PHQ mission, where you have to destroy the mines.

Easiest way is to go to your Navigate-move-to-position, and select the mine.

easy as hell that way.
