|

The gates in the hub. I havnt connected any yet im working on the teladianium takes a LONG time BUT ive put 10000 ECells in it like it says and it now says :
Gate 2 status - linked
Xenon Sector 627 Xenon Core
So in my understanding i can change that alaignment and when i hit enter it comes up with the Universe Map.
Now the hard part - do i choose a sector and it and the one next to it become linked with the hub in the middle and then connect anouther one to the hub later? or does it work i choose 2 sectors and they just link not connected to the hub at all??
Someone PLEASE put me out my misery and explain it to me!!
Im not a noob but this makes me feel like one all over again!!

Choose a gate, and the hub will effectively sit 'between' the two sectors which the gate previously linked.
Eg, if you choose the south gate from argon prime into home of light, that south gate will now head into 'your' unknown sector, and the north gate in home of light will be linked into your hub sector also. You'll be 'between' the two.
Edit: Meh, too slooow .

Slight note: You'd do better parking it between the gates leading to Ceo's Buckzoid, where there's a bit of Teladianium....

I totally recomend building plexes for the chips. The nice thing is that the requirements are crystals, silicon, and chips. The same factories make all three of these things! Just turn the factories on and off depending on what you need at the moment. Afterwards, chips sell like crazy - especially in Argon space, so your money won't be wasted. Good luck!
btw, I dropped my gate between Antigone Memorial and The Hole, which gave it great access to the complexes I'd built in AM, Herron's Nebula, Presidents End, Elena's Fortune, and Ore Belt. Just my $0.02

A bit slow? That bit is quick compared to some parts.
I guess you prepped with Teladianiuum.
Might be worth prepping for Crystals and microchips. |
Funny enough, the crystal part seems to go pretty fast in my game, and I didn't build a single crystal fab specifically for the plot.
But I know that the microchips will be a world of pain.

The only sector that I needed to connect to my hub was Mines of Fortune.
I have a self-sustaining microchip complex there that was able to help produce the crystals and microchips needed; the connected sectors also have NPC teladianium factories, so that first part was a breeze. At my current stage, I only have a little over 200k silicon to go, but over 75k microchips are sitting in 2 TLs and 3 freighters, so only 25 microchip plants were more than enough; Now the silicon mines that were feeding them are helping to grind this last obstacle. I have freighters buying at best price for anything I am not producing, and that alone is a welcome alternative to hours spent on over-building. A microchip complex and a large amount of money is all you need in my opinion.
Preparation was the key to my success, and this is my first attempt on the hub plot. It is taking a long time, but it seems easier than I expected.
