Hello,

I'm running x3:r on Linux, a very powerful machine and surprisingly I get less than 1 fps in the asteroid in nyana's hideout, to be exact, in some moments - especially when there is a column in front of me.

I've tried setting everything to minimum quality but the problem does not scale - still the same delays.

This mission is hard without such delays, but with 1 frame every 1-2 seconds it is impossible to complete. Has anyone found a solution to this?

A DXDiag report would be helpful. Also since it seems you're running XTM, it also may be part of the issue. Try removing XTM and see if the framerate issue still occurs.

Linux does not run direct x, so no dxdiag here Razz This computer is 2x quad core xeon x5410 + nvidia geforce 8800 gtx + 4gb fbdimm + 15000 rpm hdd - should be enough! Unfortunately x3 does not use more than one core Sad

And finally - I don't think I can remove XTM since I'm flying a ship that was added in XTM (Otas Elite) and quite infrequent savegames.

Anyway, somehow I made it, no idea how. If there are developers reading this and would like to debug this, please contact me and I'll cooperate!

Regards!

I'm afraid you're posting in the wrong place if you want the developers of the version you are running to see it. The Linux version was created by LGP not Egosoft. They are the people you need to speak to.

Could you please post your hardware and software configuration? (including distribution, kernel version, driver version, etc)
Plus, is it a vanilla game or an XTM one?
