I love Cycrow's script but out of personal choice I only ever overtune my ships once. The Xenotype ships in this script are overtuned twice (I think), which makes sense if you think of the Xenon copying ships to infiltrate the space of other races but making improvements on the original design in case their ships are discovered and have to fight their way out of the sector.

If you really don't want the overtuned ships then you can always dock them at a trading station and sell the extra tunings - It should show a minus number in the buy menu, and instead of buying more it'll remove them and set the ship to the max normal number of tunings


my prob with em is in x you get more and more powerful with no enemys matching your new skill.

i can kill groups of m5 - m3 in a m5 so i dont want any better ships......but more enemies.....yes please.

Overtuning ships is not bad if you do not abuse them...

Personally i have overtuned my Nova Vanguard to 201 and i stopped there...

It is my favorite fighter because i have a fast ship wit good shielding that can attack 6-7 m3's or 10-12 L's and win !!!

As for Egosoft decision to decrease (a lot) the speed of the m3's,m2's and m1's personally i think that it is a big mistake!!!

I liked the speeds of X2 much more,they were more realistic...

ok so been so busy using terracorp combat pilots while red spots plugins wreck my universe (ie destroy) Wink i aint tried yet....but im gonna use it next, nothing elsse gravs me by the balls ar the mo.

I found a xenon proto ship floating about doing nothing.... Hydra in fact... and I have not even destroyed not one xenon yet. Confused

ehmmm...

i have 1-2 questions...

i installed the script and i have the free mamba xenoship...

But i do not use it as my personal ship (i like mine vanguard better Wink ) so i fly with mine vanguard and i found some msages like that i have picked some strange transmission/xenon activity and that is good to check on Ceo's doubt 12,2 (p.ex) ...

What are these coordinates ? in X3 there are 3 coordinates used ,so wich are these 2 from the 3?
Because i tried some times to use the coordinates assuming that the first 2 are used but i have not found xenon ships...

That was my first question,my sec is that if i don't go at the moment that i get the msg to investigate and go 1-2 hours later will i find the xenon or is it time related?

The coordinates in the message are the sector coordinates, ie Kingdom End is top left so it is designated 1,1

The Xenon ships will be within that system, about 50k behind one of the gates.

By the way,can you see that msg also in the cuore systems (argon Prime,Kingdom End) or does it appears only in borders and not well protected sectors?

Those xenon messages will appear in any sectors, including Argon Prime.
The xenon will stay in the sector (behind a gate) untill you destroy them, even days later.Just make sure you are well equiped before you go after them.
If you have LV's race response script they will also attack them, taking the fun away or adding to it, depending on which way you look at it.

The xenon in Ceo's Doubt should still be there wating for you to attack.

I would suggest going to Ceo's Doubt, saving, then find the xenon and have a go, it's great fun, plus you will know what you are coming up against.

Im a tad curious, if you bail out of a fight when you first engage the Xenon fleet, would they follow you through the gates say you jumped out or used the gates?

And if left unchecked in a Sector, say you recieve a Xenon Transmisson in a Sector but dont track its origin, do the Xenon Fleets wander about the Sector, therefore attacking any and all Stations and Ships or just stay at a fixed Position? I tend to use other Xenon Enhanceing Mods such as Improved Xenon witch changes the Behavior of any Xenon Ship, So Id expect that the Xenon Fleet encounted in that Sector's Behavior would be overwritten and change to the Directive "If it moves, Shoot it"
