Hmm. You have a point for big ships with slooooow acceleration, but most fighters don't really have this problem, so far as I can see. I've occasionally added ungodly amounts of engine tunings just for fun, and when you hit the afterburner the ship's pretty quick to get to max speed. Slowing down might in fact be more of a problem... not to mention that I'm not sure if the afterburner can be activated through a script...

Y'know what, your small-step teleport idea ain't so bad Very Happy but could it be made in shorter steps, so as to make it less choppy? Also perhaps you could remove the annoying "whoosh" sound that runs at every teleportation step, or maybe make it so it only runs once every five or ten steps... the constant "sho-sho-sho-sho-sho-shoooom" doesn't go easy on the ears.

btw, Im trying to use it assigning the hot and nothing happens, do we have to buy something?

Maybe it is not working because I installed Ware Manager, EMP and Hotkey Manager at the same time I installed this script?

You need to buy a slipstream drive. I just cheated it on my ship for testing.

update available that should hopefully fix a few things.


  • Fixed angles when drive starts up, so you cant turn while its starting to accelerate making its vector more accurate
  • added failsafe to prevent the drive jumping out of position. Drive will shut down if its next position is wrong
  • Added delay between running sound

That remind me the Quantum Drive from AHD http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=235225

Cycrow's advanced drive reminded me a bit of point to point jump in AHD, now this one :=)
It seems Cycrow is stalking me Smile
Maybe next will be a gate creation system ?

Anyway, i don't really care, user choice after all Smile

hehe, actually they are just both converts from my Old scripts Wink

i made a basic version of the advanced jumpdrive for X2 and updated it for X3.

the slipstream drive was made originally part of the firelance mod all those years ago

also, i do have a gate creation mod, but it was part of an X3 Mod for auction systems

althou i currently have no plans to releae it for TC

I love this mod , it really makes the game for me, I posted my problem in the EMP forum too, but here is a repost as well, , cause i really want to get the slipstream going.

Hi Cycrow LV and all other great modders here,

First off, thanks for all your work on this game , your mods make X3 the game it should be . , For me I wouldn't be playing if you folks weren't on the scene.

okay , so enough of the props,,

I am having a problem with wares not showing up, most do, however the slipstream drive, and Advanced Hyperdrive, turbo booster, and the bulk transporter for sure are showing up as

" SW_ware_sw new" numbered 1-20 roughly ,

and then

" SW_ware_sw x3tc " numberd 2-6
,
there may be a couple of others I haven't figured out yet,

they have worked on previous installs with the same mods in place .
Any advice here, would be great,

Same with me, highest Split notoriety, but slipstream is still red.
The notoriety required is shown as ReadText25-111.

I get the same thing also on that, also the slipstream drive isn't put under the upgrades but under the goods menu

Been a while... but I wanted to confirm that the spk file on the emp download here is not up to date... apparently it looks like the older one and not the current one. Just wanted to point that out
