first of all, sounds really neat

Second of all
"civil- as well as all other ships that don't really have an effect on the game were removed "

this, this is the main reason im not trying it out. i love that civilian infostructure, and my computer can handle it without a hitch...

make that an option, and you got me

plasmabeamcannon
plasma beam cannon

triplettlaserbeamcannon
tri-beam cannon

phasesomethinglasersomething
phased array laser cannon

fusionsbeamcannon
fusion beam cannon

marinetrainingcenter
marine training barracks?

Also, not sure if this is a translation thing, in english the hyperion is a hyperion vanguard, and prospectors are miners, (caiman miner, for example).. You say 'additional term freighter', i assume you mean hauler here (mercury hauler.. notus hauler)?

Hope that helps :)

You should use jpegs for your images; downloading bmp's can be a nightmare even on good internet connections.

Those images seems to be broken, i can only see a very small bit of the bottom (even when saving them).

@ corhen: you got yourself a deal! just give me a few days...

@ Lancefighter: jep, helped a lot, thank you.

@ russbo: hm, i'm a bit confused. why would you download them? you just need to press the thumbnail and wait for the real one to appear.

@ Mark III: i can see them loud and clear. :o

FAB, great looking mod, but the file sizes on the images are way too big. they stop downloading after a bit. no reason to have an image more than two or three hundred kilobytes...

Does this mean I can *finally* get some beam weapons on my Aggy? Awesome!

Got a bug: player-bought silicon mines seem to produce delexian wheat at 2 per every 40min on a 26 yield asteroid. That's upsetting :C

jep, you can *finally* get the hole rainbow of beam weapons! :)

but you should note that those beam weapons aren't some kind of superweapons. they do damage like a flak but with quite more range, so don't be upset if you feel they underperform.

it produces wheat? it shouldn't produce wheat as npc- und player mines use the same source. i'll take a look and get back to you asap!

ok, seems to be a general problem - all player-bought mines produce wheat, but i don't know why. the codes are correct and other fabs i checked produce normal.

i guess it will take a week or so to fix it as i don't have much time at the moment...

ps. new pic's added!

I think the title is a little misleading. My first thought was on physics not on guns and factories.

It must be the mod, though, since my unmodded install produces silicon just fine.

FAB, thanks for changing the pictures. Mod looks great; I like the black hud look too.

oh, this mod is not only/or in the main part about fancy guns and kewl new factories, it's more about ambience and the right feeling.

it's definitely the mod but i'm on to it.

100% agree-- removing civilians from the universe take a lot away from the sense of life and activity in the game. the whole universe shouldn't be a war zone.

that's right, but the mod comes with some additional bullet-effects, ships and more (very)high-poly-objects as a vanilla game and i want that everyone can play the mod, not only people with state-of-the-art systems. and i know a lot of people who simply don't want civil ships in their game as they are just useless buggers.

but if your system can handle it and you want them so badly - there will be an alternative version that puts them back in.
best,
