[SCR] Removes Products from Docks (7 Sept 2011)

Post by arcana75 » Sat, 6. Jun 09, 09:57

Most likely superseded by Dockware Manager.

Simple script to remove products from your dock. Primarily used with the Hub and PHQ to get rid of products from the list.

It'll only remove the product if the ware is 0.

Uses COMMAND_TYPE_STATION_41.

Very nice but how is it installed and where can it be found within the game once done?

For installation use this great program from Cycrow:

Code: Select all

http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=218121
After install you can find command in station command console (there are no subsections)...

EDIT: Yes and: Thanks to you, arcana75, i've been looking for this script for some time...
I am not very good in english, so please, forgive me...

Not strictly on-topic, but did DockWare not get ported to TC?

@arcana75
May I refer you to a conversation here: http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=251679

I do hope your script - or an equivalent - has been submitted for the first bonus pack.

I've only messed it with one irrelevant product so far, but ...

I dun think this script deserves to be in the bonus scripts pack as it really ought to be better, including the shifting on resources to products and vice versa. This is a short hack from an X3R script I used (Dockware??)

But thanks for the thought tho! :)

DockWare Manager isn't listed in the community list tho the reservation of the station command is. Could be mistaken tho.

Potential upgrade arcana75 for your consideration would be a pre-check script to limit its use to designated safe stations types or classes as seen applicable. Such that if it gets greyed out for possible error causing situations. Or alternatively applying the script mapping to key off various types as needs. Such that you could limit its use specifically to Player owned EQ Docks, Trading Stations, PHQ and the Hub. You could even talk to Logain to see if the FDN could be accomodated if its desirable and sensible to do.

However considering the simiplicity of this it would be sensible to accomodate in the bonus pack. So I'd be encouraged to submit it or at the very least add it as a suggestion in the L3 forums but imho modifying the hardocded interface is likley more time consuming for ES to devote to than the BP. But for people who dont want to devote time to scripting this would be a handy user freindly tool.

Thanks but...
The signing process can be a lot of work, not just fixing and preparing the scripts, but preparing the documentation and getting it translated as well.
Is just too much work for me with RL, a family and other gaming hobbies.

Someone should just port that R script that not only removed undesired wares but was able to shift resources to products and vice versa, then put that script to the submission process.

DWM has been ported, but AFAIK there is no english thread for it. Just the source. Most likely has english language file, so is usable.

Updated files (SPK and ZIP) for 2.7!

Note, script most likely superseded by Dockware Manager.
