Hehhe "HOW big is the Thresher"...
Groovy - although the worrying thing is I was able to instantly recognise the Q because the of the sheer number of times I've seen those damned things heading straight at me
... actually these do show up something else. The Boreas really was supposed to be a light destroyer - it's tiny!

It is large enough. How large is a Pineapple ?
Making a metric scale is meaningless (and too tricky for me).
What here means something is the relative scale.
(i.e. how big is the Tresher M7 compared to other M7, you'll see how big it is when I'll end the TOP view)
It says that you have played a lot, like me!I can name all those ships simply by looking at their front and without looking at the list. What does it say about me?
But for the sake of easy reading and for the noobs I added the numbers! (well, can you distinguish form a Shrike and a Gannet without numbers?)

EDIT: you were right... the other two images were each around 8 megabytes...
Converted to PNG, now less than 4 megabytes all together!

Hmm - you need to get out more?delray wrote:I can name all those ships simply by looking at their front and without looking at the list. What does it say about me?
If it wasn't for the fact it's going, vertically top to bottom, M2, M1, TL I'd not have known which was the Python, Raptor or Elephant - nor the Tokyo vs MMBS... and a couple of others.
Mind, I've never yet seen some of those ships in-game, like the Aran or Valhalla - never seen a Hive Queen either for that matter. Do they actually exist?

yep! They are fully functional!Mind, I've never yet seen some of those ships in-game, like the Aran or Valhalla - never seen a Hive Queen either for that matter. Do they actually exist?
The Valhalla isn't anywhere in-game. But scripted in works fine (but is too big to use gates safely).
The Aran has a still active dedicated thread called "Goner Aran Capped!!!!!!!!!!!!!" somewhere.
The Hive Queen look like a Kha'ak carrier... (with lots of shields) not a lot of modeling effort! And can be found at the end of one plot.

... heheh, in which case I've probably killed it without even realising it (or one of the wingmen I took along did) since I've completed every major plot, as far as I know, in my main game. The Hive Queen look like a Kha'ak carrier... I can be fairly certain about which plot it's in - unless I've missed something, there's one obvious major candidate.

is it possible to make it bigger ? like 9000x7500 ?
... what is a drop of rain, compared to the storm? ... what is a thought, compared to the mind? ... our unity is full of wonder which your tiny individualism cannot even conceive ... I've heard it all before ... you're saying nothing new ... I thought I saw a rainbow ... but I guess it wasn't true ... you cannot make me listen ... I cannot make you hear ... you find your way to heaven ... I'll meet you when you're there ...

In theory miniaturized components cost more than bigger and cruder components that have the same exact function.
But this does not explain why the Shrike is so small... Maybe they changed the "designers" team...
Or decided that to have an effective M2-killer was more cost-effective build a small and cheap Shrike with 4 gauss cannons than a BIG, clumsy and expensive Phoenix. (Profitsssssssss!)

I did it this size because I wanted a comparison, not a wallpaper.
Having a wallpaper of it would be cool... mmh... it is a time consuming job, but not very difficult... you can do it too!

Thanks for top view. I think this is the best way of comparing their size since it's usually the biggest profile ships have.
Now we can clearly see who has slim and dandy ships (Split) and who has fat ones (Boron).
We can also see how ugly Valhalla is. No wonder they hide it, they are just ashamed they use such a horrid ship as their home base.
