[TC] Can a TP be used to board ships?

I have a TP ship with marines and it has the command piracy.When I click the command it lets me choose what marines stay aboard my TP ship the marines that board the enemy ship after im done it says command excepted but the TP ship just follows the enemy ship.I know the enemy ship is boardable because its a M6 Nemesis or a centaur those are the two ships ive tryed to board.

That command can be hard to use. As such I use the boarding hotkeys (by Cycrow), you can get them in the scripts and mods forum.

You can use a TP for boarding but TP's don't have a lot of firepower or shielding.

I assume you took the shields of the target ship down?

It's ten times easier if you're flying it yourself, can get close enough and line up with target properly.

I've been told that it is easier to drop the shields, get close, then hit Additional commands->Launch all marines
