yep. I used "Mods" and it works just fine... after remembering seeing it in my old X3R directory that way 8)

My Scabbards aren't actually docking either, but it's letting me choose my TL as a docking point now (Mobile Mining Base). I'll try buying myself a new TL when I get home to see if that fixes it for me too.

So this works with ALL TS class ships right? I'm just wondering because I'm using Terran Scabbards and I know there are some quirks with Terran ships.


VVV I'm actually talking about other issues that could get in the way, such as collision boxes

It shouldn't matter whose TS it is, as it's based on the ship class.

To the game, a TS is a TS is a TS.

hi=)

great for idea for a mod, i really hate no dockin options at bigger ships=)
therfore i used the hyperion ( got 2 fighter docking slots ),
until i changed to m7 class. i really miss a a ts or m6 to restock fuel fast without keeping jumping my hole armada with me ;o)

is there anyway to install the mod without rewrite my complete edited tships etc. files. It was a lot of work to balance the game around my needs.

All my TShips has in this mod, is added docking. It does nothing with any balance/etc.

You can just use yours, and add docking slots to M1/M2/TL/M7 ships.

There's no way to merge them, other than to manually change them.

"Yours", meaning the Tships file you edited. This will overwrite it. Your English is better than a lot of Americans I know. :)

Yes, that's exactly what is in the TShips in this mod. No other edits were made, such as balance, cargo, etc. Only docking slots were modified.

Apparently the same thing as extern_TS_dock.

Both are TP/TS. No TM.

Yeah I was wondering about this too. Does 1.3 edit Tships or any of these scene files?

Only because it's is so great. I recently started a fresh game/install mostly for this mod. The hardpoint choices are really good I think, and I can use my MMB much more efficiently now :)

If/when Steam gets it available, I can check it out. I do think it changed some things in TShips though, so that'd require a revamped version for the docking mod...

I suppose, if anyone has the mod manager, they can extract the 1.3 Tships file from the patch cat (it'll be the one in the most recently updated cat/dat) and get it to me.


Editing it doesn't take that long, it's just *getting* it.

Yep, I can do that. I downloaded it tonight to see if I could get a dock working on an Agamemnon. And I couldn't :oops: Anyway if you want to pm me your email I'll send you the 1.3 tships :)

First time I've tried anything like this but... I followed Northstar's tutorial on creating a mod, and created a mod. yay! and put into it the types\tships.pck from 1.3, and edited the agamemnon docking slots to = 1

Then I added the following files from your external docking.cat:

types\dummies.pck
objects\ships\m7\paranid_m7s_scene.pbd
objects\ships\props\extern_fighter_dock.pbd

Anyway the game runs and my pc hasn't blown up so it can't be all bad. The Agamemnon has the little docking ridge on it now, and when I comm it there is an option to request docking, but it's greyed out. Still I'm quite impressed I got that far :D

A really easy way to have the Tships updated, is to take the raw text file and drop it into x3 terran conflict\types.

The game reads files from subfolders before cats.
